She’s amazing. Spider-man goes pretty well with her because he doesn’t utilize much heroism and he can build heroism relatively fast. She can decimate elites and villians her high single target dps. Iron Man pairs well with Carol because he has aoe mark abilities with another ability called heads up which grants block to an ally. I’m definitely gonna limit test a lot of comps around Captain Marvel since she pairs well with Light Hunter.

She works especially well with nico card "empower". Reducing hero card cost to zero and drawing card specific to captain marvel is really good !

I really am liking this game. It’s a lot more than a superhero punching bad guys.

She’s interesting. Her DPS is in spread damage with photon beam and counter shenanigans. She doesn’t hit single targets very hard though. I’m on ultimate III difficulty and my build has knee strikes in it, she basically can’t die (or even lose binary most of the time) unless you really mess up and keeps heat off of other characters. I wish rain of blows didn’t consume all of her block as I think draining heroism is enough of a cost frankly. I just feel she’s a little one dimensional. Fun. But one dimensional.

Paired with a light hunter, cards like a paor of upgraded Call to Arms (free) really helps stack up the Heroism.

Can Knee Strike be modded with Quick? I've been rerolling to get this but haven't seen one yet.

I noticed regroup in the deck you showed ( I don't know if this was in your optimized version) I have knee strike upgraded to do 100% offense I think it is on full health enemies and it legitimately gains more block than regroup usually while 1 shotting anything outside of bosses/elites.

I like that idea but her taunt card gives her three resist so I have two of those with free which prevents her from using her guard and the taunt paired with evil totem makes her a one round beast

Cap Marvel seems half way decent. I appreciate how you explain the cards so well. Thank you for the great build.

In comics, Carol went from one of my most fav. characters to one of my least in just a couple of years, but gamewise, it's a waste not to use her. She is a powerhouse in this game, no denying that and it doesn't make sense to deprive yourself of that capability because you don't like the direction the writers and artists have taken her in the books. In short, a valuable team asset.

@@JoeSmith-mx1sr Except I would rather play on a lower difficulty just to avoid using her. I am 30 hours into the game, and I don't even have her "friendship" level to 1, while Magik is already at level 5 as is Nico and Blade.

@@O-D-X The game version of her personality-wise is much better than how she's portrayed in the movies or the comics (IMO, Your mileage might vary). Story-wise what I don't like is that it's seeming as if they're trying to retcon out her Ms. Marvel days entirely, and that's her best time. In any event, hopefully a modder will come up with a Ms. Marvel skin for her as I doubt they're going to get permission from Marvel to release one officially.

@@aceshelman I don't disagree that Nico is annoying, but on my first playthrough I went the dark route, so she was primarily along for the ride, and she too is quite powerful once built correctly. However, once I save Wanda, Nico got dropped like a sack of potatoes. On my second playthrough now as light side focus, still can't stand CM at all. I despise her even more than Nico and Stark, so I am primarily running with Cap, Spidey and Strange.
