You know what’s really sad about the deaths from this arc, the dragon-looking one in the collage of photos 0:44 was in the sports festival arc looking for new recruits who saw the fights was a nice background fave of mine. But the biggest sad thing was the hero on the upper right, he was about to be killed by Stain when Ida, Shoto, and Izuku saved him, but now he dead by All for One

I guess MHA just went to almost Akame Ga Kill level type, but except it’s side character heroes. I don’t care how many months has passed, but I still cry over Midnight. :’(

The greatest enemy Heroes can have are not villains but their own Morals. How many more have to die before they realize that these Villains had already made their choice a long time ago and they are beyond saving nor redemption. It hurts so much to think that it is the heroe's own sense of morality that spelled their end. Peace is no longer an option, their enemies had literally declared war, so why? Why? Why does it always had to be like this?

I may be late to answer to this comment, but I totally agree. The villains are out there to kill but the heroes want stick into "capturing" them? Heck they shouldn't even call for surrender from the villains anymore and should've went straight into it. I mean they are at war right? Especially Shigaraki, the dude's beyond salvation. If someone close to me died because of him or I died because of him, "saving" him means salt in my wounds to me.

Talk about not knowing what you are talking about and completely missing the central themes of the story. Not counting the edgy deconstructive superhero stories like The Boys and The Watchmen, heroes in MHA with few exceptions are the least moral and virtues heroes in Superhero stories when compared to DC and Marvel heroes like Superman and Captain America. Midoryia is the only one like them. That's the point. Someone like Shigaraki didn't make his choice. The whole point of his story is that he is a slave to AFO whose existence could have easily been prevented had someone been more compassionate. Rather, the whole reason why a lot of the Villains including the ones who are complete monsters due to the inherently problematic system which exists in MHA society. The author is doing a bit of social critique while reconstruction the classic superhero ideal with Midoryia. The origins of the Villains serve the role of Social critique and establishing the true root cause of Villains. Not trying just the mass murderers here but someone who has been alienated, pushed to peripheries of, and even outside of said society simply for being born with a wrong quirk, this does not inspire people to like the society they were born into. The real victims are the innocent civilians here just trying to live their lives. But the people in power like the Hero Commission, one of the major contributors to what is wrong with MHA Society, and heroes who despite individually some being virtues and overall good people who help people but who frankly uphold and protect an inherently unjust system. They do not get to play the victim card here. The Heroes, if anything operate too much like what you want them too. The problem is that they operate far too much like a Police Force combined with the worst excess of Corporation and Celebrity Culture. They come across as a little too self-righteous and blind to the actual issues. Keeping their heads buried in the sand. You just want to go even further mostly in the violent police direction. MHA society is deeply messed up society underneath all that glitter. What you propose will just lead to an Oppressive Police State. Even then merely killing the current villains only solves the current symptoms but not the root cause. If the heroes moved in the direction that you want them too, it will if anything exacerbate the issues even further than before leading to an even bigger crises. Just look at real life examples of what happens when you too much power to Police Force. MHA Heroes are infact a Police Force in all but name. The way to fix this mess is not by being more ruthless. Yes, the current villains need to be dealt. If killing them is that then so be it but it shouldn't be encouraged nor become the default way for Heroes going forward. Rather, it is by being more compassionate and moral than they are will they be able to solve the real problems and such catastrophes from happening.

You know, I was glad that they had mineta in the scene but that wasn’t the kind of reaction I was expecting because I was expecting a part where, after overhearing how they said midnight doesn’t have a pulse and that she is dead mineta so shocked and so sad they thought he could check their knowing if it’s not true, but one of his classmates Holds him back and tells him; no man this isn’t how you want to remember midnight and mineta keep saying please it’s not true tell me it’s not true. As he keeps moving desperately to me, I kind of thought maybe yaorozu comes in tag her classmates shoulder knowing that she’ll take care of this and she did by kneeling down and hugging mineta from his sad depression, saying that she’s sorry, and that she wasn’t the only person that she looked up to. What can I sayI just thought maybe there could’ve been an emotional scene for mineta and one of his friends will be there to comfort him🍇

This is one of the few times Horikoshi really got it wrong. Midnight should not have died. And even if it was necessary they could have given her a much better death than being killed offscreen by nameless goons. It's pathetic and insulting. And I say F you Horikoshi for writing this mistake

Imagine being hated for something unexpected, if you see the same thing again and again (heroes winning, villains losing) you're work will be called boring, if you did something like idk killing someone that was a favorite of a fan it's a huge F to them. Man, authors just don't win. Fans shouldn't be the priority. Let them cook, regardless if it'll be good or bad.

If they had taken a hard stance and executed the villains 🦹‍♀️ after there kills where confirmed they would have avoided any issues.

Yeah ikr. I didn't rlly see anything to get attached to. If anything just her design overall had always just been super off-putting to me and felt weird being a teacher at a school for kids. If it was Mt Lady, I'd actually feel something cuz like yeah she ain't my favorite in any way either but she was at least relevant to some of the stories themes and had something of an arc.

It's not that i got so attatched to her. It's just that this momment was so brutal. She was hit by concretes of the dumbass mr. compress mid-air and fell, then was found by villains but she still warned her students about machia and gave her final advice. And later, their students who were trusting her all the time just find her body there. It's brutal, it's... idk Impactful

Laziest death in the entire series change my mind

I’m a little confused as to how she died. Did she succumb to the injuries from being hit by those concrete chunks from Mr. Compress, or was it those thugs who jumped her afterward? If it was the latter, I don’t understand how they would kill her considering even getting near her would put them to sleep from her quirk mist. Yet, the body of those thugs aren’t seen around her, so either they did somehow kill her, or she somehow got away to where they couldn’t catch her despite her wounds? Is there any more insight on her cause of death?

Alright so basically after she was stopped by Mr.Compress, she was heavily wounded due to the fact he threw his compress ball at her which summoned a decent size piece of debris, this combined with falling from a high place made it difficult for her to move, as she was struggling after she gave the final orders to some of Class 1-A and 1-B, she was then attacked by a group of villains, which resulted in her death, as she didn't have enough strength to protect or fight properly again the group.

I mean, a piece of concrete that size could easily weigh a 100kg, maybe more. It's not like she has a power that would negate the impact of it hitting her nor the impact of her hitting the ground from about 20 something meters in the air. Broken legs,ribs,arms are all possible. Most likely some internal bleeding and depending how she hit her head she could have had a concussion. Honestly the average person wouldn't be able to fend off a rabid dog in that state, nevermind a group of quirk users. So either she died from her injuries catching up to her, or because she got killed by the thugs in her near helpless state. Take your pick.

Ive just spent the last 2 weeks binge watching this anime for the very 1st time. I truly must say.... I haven't been this upset behind the death of a supporting character in a VERY long time. It seemed SO unnecessary, and needlessly brutal. From what everyone is saying who read the manga, they brutalized her till her face was nearly unrecognizable... It just trully pisses me off that she wasnt able to kill maybe just ONE of them b4 dying. Her final scene when she affixes her eyes to the camera with all that intensity, coupled with the blue glow of her eyes, kinda gave the vibe that she was about to go into cornered fox mode, and use her last bit of energy to maybe kill one of the 4 assailants b4 dying... but to be brutalized by 4 men that way just leaves a VERY sour taste in my mouth... i wont even get into the further implications of where my mind went, seeing that these guys are SKUM and i dont put it above them to possibly--- Lemme stop. Midnight deserved better... With the plot armor they give less deserved characters, she deserved at least ONE spare. To be killed off this way just bothers me in a way i havent felt in a while.. So unnecessary.. #JusticeForMidnight

Unfortunately they can't because the laboratory got destroyed mad doctor who makes them is in prison. And besides even if they did that does not even heal wounds that just adds insult to injury. Remember when Aizawa and Mic found out Kurogiri is their dead friend? That's exactly how the students are going to react they're going to be more miserable than how they found out their teacher was killed In battle. And sadly they would have to kill her again if not throw her in jail.

the bigger heros dying in the conflict mostly didnt have any ties to the students so they found a hero to kill off that would add some emotional impact directly to the characters the story is focusing on. Miss midnight was involved in their lives in someway, saved them a couple times and assisted/worked with many of the mentors/heros the students worked under. She was the obvious target.
