this is crazy, so i came here specifically to hear if he talked about enlil more. I watched the show the other day for the first time. But literally the day before that i was watching this ancient sumarian documentary, they were talking about the gods and the one who is kinda in charge of humanity (not in charge but like an arbitor between humanity and some cosmic deity) is named enlil. so just kinda joking around with myself i sat on my bed with my legs crossed and put my hands infront of my face like i was praying. I was kidding around, the thought that ran through my head was super tongue in cheek "alright motherfucker, i have to be the only person in the world saying a prayer to you right now. so if you're real you better respond." as soon as the thought finished it was like being struck with lightning. I felt extremely loved, miserable, fearful,, anxious, happiness just all these intense emotions all at once. i couldn't move and i had all these tears streaming down my face for a little while. Not sure exactly how long but less than half an hour more than five minutes this went on for, then i fell over on my bed staring at the floor. and i just felt perfect, fine, content, idk how to describe it the thought being present like from budism passed through my mind. and i've been pretty energetic and just happy to be here since. anyhow cut to the next day, i'm watching this show and this episode comes on and i hear this guy say something that sounded like enlil. it caught my attention right away and gave me chills i had to rewind it 3 or 4 times just to make sure it was for real. i feel like i should mention i've been a pretty staunch athiest my entire life, and i've never felt anything like that ever. I'm between thinking i've finally snapped and holy shit maybe there is way more to the universe than i could possibly know...but has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Very true. The power of language and how intense our experience of other people can be also means we need a little bit of time ( experience ) being with and tending to the energy before being thrown in the the deep end of “ultimate power” because it takes experience to learn how to focus our words and our emotional reactions ( compassionate understanding of our fears, desires, and imprinting).

the part about focusing your attention at a single point is very important when drawing or painting. Keep your eyes fixed on the point where you want your stroke to land. Don't follow your hand with your eyes because that way you don't know where you're going and the line will most likely not fullfill its purpose.

We already have everything we need, all this feels superfluous and overly romantic.

  • @capnbarky2682

I think where you're getting hung up is in this statement: "I am not convinced a trembling creature caked in shit has only to think differently to lift ourselves to a new level." That's not at all what's being said here or in any spiritual practice. Understand that any complex undertaking that "lifts you to a new level" begins in the imagination. Spirituality and religion, magic, etc, are, boiled down, practices that allow you to play in an "imaginal world" of potentialities. You are priming your perspective to be more flexible and to not get hung up on things you've already decided as "realities". You still have to actually do imagined actions in the corporeal world to have things manifest there, but that's the general idea. Put another way: anything we accomplish begins as a thought, and spiritual practices are esoteric methods that can spawn those thoughts. Is it romantic? Absolutely, but sometimes romance is the exact thing your mind needs to stop getting hung up on things that you don't know are real.

Holy $/-/!+ ..... What damien was saying about not ever hearing the name before and going through ego death and seeing a name..... The same exact thing happened to me with the name abraxas which in the coming months, something was tearing me apart from the inside from every angle and every fear I have ever had only to come to these realizations that they were constructs. So I had learned to go into trance and the first time I had asked to see my guide.... Which (that's a long story) which showed me a future girl that I would meet in a few months. Then the second time I asked what I could use to make the most powerful magick tool ... In the trance I got the name ABRAXAS. I thought, uhh ok? Is that just my mind making up a word? Is that just my mind making up a supposed magick word abracadabra....? Then I looked it up on the internet and the first thing I saw were these thousands of years old egyptian escavated carnelian stones with a magick inscription of a god known as ABRAXAS.... I thought well what a weird coincodence. I took it literally at first and thought, well ok I need a carnelian stone 😆. Then I forgot about it, a few months later before I fell asleep at night the word flashed into my head as if it were something outside of me even louder: ABRAXAS!!!! I thought ok ok I'll look it up!.... So I started studying it. It's a gnostic principle of oneness above duality as being the highest form of creation above god.... The god that is and is not which is above what we know as creator god. Then spiritual stuff started happening all around me. Complete insanity and dissolution of all my concepts of concrete reality throughout the next few months. Like being torn apart from within until there was nothing left for me to hold onto as myself. Thoughts are just a collection, we are not our thoughts, or our emotions, we are not our personality, our drive, our bodies. We are just the consciousness that have collected all these things that already are and call them our own. That is the grand illusion!!! But hey! You can shape and mold it 😆.... We are the spark of gods consciousness growing back towards becoming.

Only unlike damien invoking his god realization with the higher concept that he percieves as enlil, I am terrified to invoke ABRAXAS 😂😂😂 it's a learning experience that will change you for sure!!! When high magicians say not to just invoke god-like intelligences... It's not a joke when they say some people even end up catatonic, or scard from those kinds of experiences.

This honestly sounds like a one way street to OCD~ If you arent careful anyway. The idea of manifesting everything with your thoughts is also something in psychology referred to as "magical thinking", which is an obsessive compulsive trauma response, i.e. "if i tap this radiator 3 times at 2pm every day then maybe my dad will come back". To assume that every little thing you do causes consequences both really good and really bad can very much be overwhelming to a massive degree. If any of you wish to practice what is spoken of in this podcast, don't think too hard about all of it, don't strain yourself. I've dealt with OCD my whole life and it is not something that is worth it even for magical abilities

All knowledge is provisional. It's a limitation of the mind, which always seeks to know. To search for fulfillment outside of one's self is folly. It's my understanding that he was accused, but was not actually involved in that. People get framed sometimes and this is one of them, according to Damien.

I never seen a picture of Jesus with a Wand. I've seen pictures of him holding a staff.

@@LD-2401 I shepherds staff is used to direct sheep for mileniums while wands didn't even exist until they were introduced by a 13th century Latin grimoire The Oathbound Book of Honorius. Wands weren't even a thing until a thousand years after Jesus lived on earth.

The only thing that doesn't sit well with me is graham Hancock, I've seen his stuff and how he tries to push things that don't necessarily line up with real evidence. But otherwise I absolutely love this whole, I've always felt things like it and it's interesting to now hear put into words by other people. I sit with the perspective that I am the universe living itself and its just one consciousness that continues living different lives until matured into what ever is after.
