8:30 In one of the recent Hoyoverse live events IRL Dawei the Chairman and Co-Founder of Mihoyo said about the experience of the staff working on Genshin Impact, apparently most of them were beginners to game development so the Closed Beta in China wasn't recieved all that well, they had original intentions and ideas but sadly their experience as gamers resulted in them taking Botw as an example of great exploration game so they unconsciously made something oddly similar to Botw when the Chinese gamers noticed that they started sending all sorts of hate and harassment to the creators so much so that they were ready to shut the project down cuz of depression 😅 Dawei said to them that they only lost this time and there was time to improve it and make it have a separate identity of its own without getting called a Botw clone which I believe it totally did after the story of Liyue since Inazuma and Sumeru and now Fontaine are regions that very different from anything in botw also Genshin did the Underground separate area thing before hand cuz Genshin has that thing from the time Chasm appeared and also Enkanomiya

@@johanstenfelt1206 I dont think she'd look much different UNLESS they decided to turn her either Zonai or the Twili equivalent in whatever game may feature them in then there's room foe deaign changes but they most likely woildnt deviate much feom the original design in my opinion. Look at most other characters/species. Only the Rito and Zora have undergone massive changes in design while the other races all mostly are the same. Hell even Zelda herself. She's been a blonde and a brunette, but never much more different than that
