I mean, canvas curse introduced the concept of soul bosses and it's very cute cause they made Kirby even more of a ball. It may be at the bottom of Kirby games, but they aren't bad per se

I've never seen manikns come alive. Closest I've seen is in the Malkavian Maze from Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines, where you walk past them, then when you turn around they've all changed their positions. That was pretty creepy the first time I saw it.

Those are chronologically very recent in the series timeline, as in 1990's to 21'st century recent. There's no way that the Waiter Skeleton could have appeared in the cartoon series because it's chronologically impossible, curry and all. Now, if they introduced it as a soup slinger instead of a curry slinger, then it would have been a whole different story... Edit: I thought that Thousand Year Door came out before Mario and Luigi. Turns out I got their release dates mixed up.

As long as we're talking about old games, I can say that at 35 years old there's still nothing that has caused me the same bone deep terror as the music the old Sonic the Hedgehog games played when your oxygen was about to run out. The time I woke up after a brief power outage and thought I was 8 hours late for work because the time on the clock reset comes close though.

"Everything was not buggy" Me still remember how I bugged into second car in Gran Turismo 2 and we were driving as one until game shot us into opposite directions.

There was also a bug in an Silicon Valley on N64 that had ONE collectable that you couldn't actually pick up. The character would just walk through it so you could only ever get 99% completion.

Saturn, was an amazing piece of tech, with a dedicated graphic card, but was hard to program on it (while on psx you programmed in C++). 2:45 Monster rancher 3 had an issue where if you lost a certain plot fight, you would be locked out of the story until you collected a specific fruit. There is only one of this fruit, and it is the quest reward for winning the fight that you lost. Oof.

In different ways, from what I can gather: TMNT seems to make it a problem because there’s too many hazards, while in Labyrinth Zone, the problem is just that the water turns your momentum physics into living hell

@@spindash64 oh trust me the boss of that zone has _plenty_ of hazards. You literally don’t even half to hit the boss once - the devs realized just getting to the end is enough of a challenge.

The moment the PS2 and not having patches came up, my mind immediately went to AT 2. Bad enough that they didn't include the original Japanese audio for the animated cutscenes in AT 1, but to leave bubbles completely untranslated and miss a bug that fully crashes the game, then make excuse after excuse why it's not their fault rather than put out a fixed version... NISA was ahead of its time, and we suffered for it.

Because back in those days there were no patchs, no fixing after lunch, to put new content in the game they needed to release the game again like they did with RE4 in the PS2 so the game needed to be 100% done with almost no bugs that stop you from progressing

I reassure you. Even if people make fanart of it, Elephant Bowsette doesn't exist, it can't hurt you. Literally. You can't have two power-ups at the same time in Mario. So since the Super Crown is a power-up, it's either Elephant Bowser or Bowsette, but both at the same time is impossible.

A game breaking bug in a ready to play videogame? @2:45 MegaMan Battle Network 4 Blue Moon: _"Hold my cybercoffee."_ Details: this only occurs in the original releases of Blue Moon (& Red Sun with character data from BM) when you play on anything OTHER than the GBA. One cheat code would be the only way to get through that one well known portion of that game. It took a decade to get the (now defunt) Virtual Console release to patch it but no online multiplayer. The Legacy Collection totally changed that while also keeping the patch with some bells and whisltes.

In my Teens, my Dad got me a Sega Gen ii with a Mega CD from a second-had/ thrift shop. I had one of the Star Wars games on it. You could not Play the full game if you could not pass the Basic training because it would reset the game back to the start. It was 1 of 3 games ( out of 6 in all ) I had for the Mega-CD that were Brutal/ No mercy types lolz.
