Hello, can I use MIDI Guitar 2 on Ableton live as a plugin ?

I have iPhone 8, I just installed iOS 12.4 and Midi Guitar is no longer able to detect my Scarlett 2i2 1st generation. Any suggestion? I already unisntalled and reinstalled the App. I am using Apple Camera Connection Kit.

You guys really pulled through. AWESOME update👍 but there is a slight problem. Seems like its not compatibme with the irig 2. No input signal through headphone jack or lightning port. Check all settings and still no luck.

we specifically checked these interfaces, but it should work with all interfaces. -click on the left top field audio device "IOS AUDIO" -then select your interface and channel

will I be able to switch between sounds with a midi footswitch? thanks!

so i have the app and everything works well ... all though i cant seem to get rid of my guitars dry signal.... is there any way to do that? ... i tried turning the gain all the way down on the guitar section and messing with the mix but i still hear my guitars dry signal ... it would be nice to only hear the soft synth im controlling

most likely our audio interface has a "direct monitoring" switch or knob: it lets you mix in the original guitar input. Just turn that switch/knob to iOS output only.

Hi there ! Is there an Android version of this marvel ?

Between midi guitar for garageband and midi guitar for ios (in a ipad pro 2017, the second generation) is any difference?

it is basically the same app: but on iOS the iAPs are structured differently, with a lower entry point. When you buy all 3 iaps in iOS you have basically the same functionality as MG for Garageband, including the loading of AUv3 plugin fx and synths. AUv3 plugins on iOS are still somewhat limited in scope, so currently MG for Garageband will have more synths and fx available as plugin. But the umber of AUv3 plugins on iOS is rising fast.

Paul Driessen i read that in the mac store but i don’t understand what that means “MIDI Guitar for GarageBand is meant to be used with Garageband's virtual instruments but it is also a powerful and versatile guitar effect processor on its own. It can be used with MainStage or Logic as well, using Apple's Virtual MIDI standard, or even hardware synths with good old MIDI cables.” That means that i can use guitar midi 2 with the virtual instruments of garageband? The point of my questions is that i only use garageband on ipad, and in mac garageband and logic, so if its not necessary i would rather avoid buy the complete version. Anyway i suppouse that if garageband from mac or ipad let me record the guitar in midi, then this midi track i could export and use in logic or any other daw, and put the presets of virtuals instruments that i have in mentioned daw right?

@@Hugosanches594 The midi output of MG for Garageband will just as well work straight to Logic or any other app. Just try it with the free download. Load the patch "external midi output" and you see how its done.

Paul Driessen i will try today in mac, a few hours ago i download the free version in my ipad but it needs a micropayment of 20usd to could connect with garageband

@@Hugosanches594 ios MG can connect with Garageband selecting the "external midoutput" patch, just as the MG for Garageband can do that on macos. In demo mode you'll get a nagscreen after a couple of minutes.

MIDI Guitar supports IAA and midi, but there is no AUv3 version. MIDI Guitar can run standalone alongside AB, delivering midi for your synths loaded in AB. the sound of MIDI Guitar can be incoorporated using IAA.

no, it has a reverb and cabinet engine that has presets and can generate new irs on the fly. no import of irs wavs.

Is there something wrong with mine? When I updated i lost the ability to play ios instruments no options no preferences. Cant pull up virtual midi. Where is the midi output??? I must be blind..i paid for it before and restored it after update. Thanks

the midi output is now part of the patch: you can see how it is engaged when you open the patch "external midi output".

@@PaulDriessenFX THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH. i thought that something's wrong but I didn't know what the problem is. Now I figured it out.

I cant change the audio buffer size from 256 so there is too much latency. Does the audio unit hosting package give you option to change this to 128 or lower?

if you invoke our app with IAA into another app like AUM or alike, you can set the buffersize there. But it doesnt make that much difference: pitch to midi costs way more time as the time won by the lower buffersize.

Paul Driessen ok cool I do like this app a lot. I do use AUM and was thinking about buying the audio units package in your shop store. Purchasing it does stop the interruptions correct?

@@creativedecysions I'm not sure you got me right: IAA usge is included with the "midi output" IAP. The AU IAP is for loading AUv3 plugins inside MIDI Guitar. There is no AUv3 version of our plugin yet.

Paul Driessen no I understand there no AUv3 version of MidiGuitar 2 but the app has a $9.99 in app purchase option that says it enables the use of AUv3 plugins inside of your app. I want to know if this purchase will remove interruptions.?

@@creativedecysions that purchase will remove interruptions when using AUv3 plugins, yes. That IAP requires the first IAP "guitar rig" to have been bought first. After purchase you may need to restart the app to have the purchase activated for good.

Es ist nicht so wie in den Video angezeigt wird!. Habe den Demo Getestet, die Latenz stört sehr, und der Demo selbst taugt nicht, viel zu kurz!. Nein Danke!.

ich habe die Demo live eingespielt; swa gibt es Latenz, aber das ist wohl das normale mit jedem Gittarensynthesizer. Der app spielt in demo einfach weiter wenn du auf "continue" clickst. Auf pc/mac musst du deine Soundcardeinstellungen beobachten um unnötige Latenz zu verringern.

Well, I learned by trial and error. I had to get me the Lightning to USB 3 camera adapter and a powered USB hub. That way I was able to plug a Scarlett 2i2 but I guess any other USB interface that is class compliant (no drivers needed for MacOS) should work.

I've an ios 9.0 ios pad (Aftermarket,) is this compatible??

I get nowhere close with a Komplete 6 AI and a second generation iPad pro.

not yet, we had to do this IOS update first since the app was broken by IOS12.

100 bucks for a plugin; either it's 2002 or you're Arturia.
