I highly recommend the Hammond B-3x, I have it on my iPad with all the drawbars mapped to my keyboard's faders, super fun to play

maybe instead of using roland pickup, you could use Jam origin midi bass software.

Those Softwares are not fast enough and our software can convert the Strings being hit using MIDI. String 1-5 is MIDI Channel 1-5. Software can't tell you which string is hit, so there is no way to tell which exact notes on which string is hit. This is why the pickup is so important.
I play a 4 string guitar
