Personally not a fan of how the curtains were styled at the end. Feel like something like that needs a little more volume and wave - and really not fond of the points of the curtains at the front. Solid, versatile haircut but I wouldn't style it that way.

I agree, i personally wouldnt of done a diagonal section from the back to the front. Looks to blunt and unnatural. The 90's curtains look was more wavy and free flowing. Too much bulk at the front in contrast to the back made it sit too flat. But yeah a versatile haircut but couldve been executed a bit better

@@RegalGentleman For what it’s worth I understand why Dan did that with the view of how the hair would grow back. My barber did a similar style and now that my hair has grown back the extra length at the front means more options when styling.

The slick back version! To be honest, I think that the curtains was not styled properly. Don't get me wrong I still think the hairstyle is good but I feel like the angle that Dan chose for cutting the top makes the fringe appear too long compared to the back. In my opinion thats why the curtains looks a bit weird. But the idea of mixing the taper with the curtains is really good. I will definitely try this when I have the right client sitting in the chair.

@Chris Fudge $30-$35 is what I usually pay and they’re decent to me, but I haven’t found a good barber that can cut perfectly how I want it in that price range unless they’re charging $65 for a cut alone

From pretty much bald to having problems deciding which hairstyle to do today :D But obviously I'm very limited right now as I need to cover remaining thin area with another HT (feel free to check it on my youtube channel).

@@leeglover3601 it's to separate the back and sides from the top. Gives you a clean section to work with for both. And helps you to keep a square shape as it's separated on the round of the head

I prefer the curtains on him, but it's styled too flat and unfortunately the long bits at the front look like a mistake. If the front were trimmed evenly with the rest of the hair, it'd look more polished. Loving all the 90s cuts on here lately! Keep it up.

Im a big fan of this Barber and I respect him as a barber. However I was not a fan of this video. Well, more the hairstyle approach. The curtain styling was not it. Especially from the side view the front pointy hair piece ruins the look. Proabably too long I guess. It kind of looked silly if I’m being a hundred percent honest. MAybe it could of used more volume as well it’s just so damn flat on the head lol. Secondly, the slick back is okay but I feel like the sides should of been shaved shorter because it looks like it just blends into the top hair. There is no distinct separation which I think is one of the key points in a slick back. Because rn it just looks like one blob of hair just brushed and waxed backwards.

With the curtains he looks like those manikins in burton, topman and so on lol

Curtains need more volume it looks like trash. It just falls down his face and it makes him look so weird theres no flop. His curtains looked better before the haircut lmao The slick back works better for him but then again the hair needs to balance your facial thirds. His upper third is quite large so slicking it back will make him look older and much more mature which isn't really the look we ( young men) are looking for. What should have been done tbh is a leonardo di caption kinda of cut on this guy it would have balanced his proportions and still maintained a youthful look. The hair needed to swept to the side and not fully back
