@@Dertlecup but how do you know you wouldn’t like it? I mean you clearly must have to ask for it. If I tell you I don’t like that haircut you have now, are you gonna run to barber and change it. At least I can actually see it, and not picturing it in my head. The barber isn’t god.

Just try out diffrent barbers and soon you'll find someone like that. Tried out some of them aswell until I finally found someone with whom I am happy with. You need to leave ur conform zone and try out something new

@@millennialdisposition grow it out.. if u think it won't be that way when it grows.. trust me it will.. i had always christiano ronaldo type of haircuts but i let it grow and i just couldn't see hair becoming like that but after literally 6-8 months of not cutting it and conditionning my hair it grew just like that!! highly recommend doin it it gives me so much confidence and i love itt

@@ktotheitothembex Indeed. Most males tend to lose their hair around mid 20s to early 30s. Some are lucky enough to keep their hairline at an old age. young men often take their hair for granted!

I like when professionals do this, when they recommend what they know will work for you whether it's hair, clothing, shoes, glasses etc. Because sometimes we think we know what we want, but we're not professionals in the field and we don't know any better. I'm glad he didn't give the kid the undercut he wanted and instead gave him this brilliant, well constructed haircut that looks great on him

This is why guys like Dan should be applauded, instead of going for the easy option of an undercut(which i had back in the 90's) like he said his mates could of done that for him. He wanted him to get not only the right style but also value for his money I'm sure. It looks great

I love how you give your opinion on what he should do... but you do it in a way that it gives him the chance to come back and speak with you so you two can reach a place where you know exactly what he wants, but you can use your expertise to make sure it's still a nice, relevant style. A lot of barbers either listen to what you say and don't really give their opinion, so they might not have a full understanding of what their client wants and it can end up not being such a great haircut sometimes.

One of the best technical hairdressers out there. Great craftsmanship and advice and execution. Plus a good watch collection too mate! Keep it up!

So jealous of people with thick hair, unfortunately mine is wavy and fine with not alot of density

i just love seeing how he tackles the cut. the sectioning work makes for a clean canvas to work on.

As someone that went to (mainly female-oriented) cosmetology uni, the methods and techniques I learn from videos like these endlessly keep blowing my mind! The "slicing" and razoring methods this barber used, I have never seen before (point cutting yes, but not for slicing!) and as someone that likes/has short hair themselves, it helps SO MUCH! Especially now during the pandemic when getting hair appointments is either difficult or impossible. My uni was/is a very small town run business, so I didn't really get an overly broad spectrum of training, as far as techniques and "shortcuts" are concerned. We got lots of older clients due to the trainee discount, so that meant a lot of traditional mens' cuts, roller sets, the occasional fingerwave/pincurl, and PLENTY of perm curl & style! I love blending my hair short into long like in this video, and now I know that when I need a trim/touch-up, I don't have to abuse the hell out of my texturizing shears to get the desired results! Thank you so much for providing these kinds of videos for us newbies to keep educating ourselves with!

@@Eminem200FBI I'm on that right now mate haha. 2% liquid minoxil but once a day along with Finasteride 1mg. Been on this stack for 3 years now, with no side effects at all and it's definitely helped stable my hair loss. Without it, I'd be long gone. However, I did start late so my hairline is pretty much gone so considering a hair transplant. At least I can maintain the rest of my natural hairs without the further worry of loss in future. PS - How do you prevent flakes and dandruff from Minoxil liquid? I was considering Minoxidil foam but it's too expensive. Don't think they do it in the Kirkland brand too. I normally pay £20 for 3 months of liquid supply.

I have thicker hair than him, and it's not as awesome as you'd think. My hair is straight, but if I try to grow it long, it puffs into an afro because it's so thick. I normally just do a fade with a 3mm on the bottom and 9mm on the top. Not much else I can do. Thick/lots of hair really only looks good very short, or very long. Middle lengths look bad.
