    You’re fading down and focusing on flicking out helped me big on my last cut! It wasn’t perfect cause I’m still learning but it was a big change

    I start with all my guidelines then fade down this is easier in my opinion but everyone has there own styles

    Yes! Everyone has their own style I agree! You might do something a little different than I do, and vice versa. There is no “right way” as long as it works for you

    Seniors are superior . Those are my favorite 2 clippers of all time. I do want to say I am a Wahl ambassador as of 2 weeks ago, BUT, I’ve been using the magic clip and seniors 95% of my barber career (9 years) so that’s the best pair you can have and you can get 15% off on the Wahl Website with JOSCUTS15 🙏🏽

    When you down fade , are you using the corners to fade , or the full blade and just flick out as soon your a little bit under the high guard

  • @JosCuts

    @JosCuts

    6 ай бұрын

    I always use the full blade . The only time I use the corners is with the 0.5 guard and the NO GUARD lever open 🙏🏽

    I appreciate the video! I have been cutting my hair for 3-4 years now and also been cutting my roomates hair for 4 yrs. I wanna become a barber and learn as much as I can. I kind of figured it out to do fade but what about the top? For this bro it looks good but what if its messy how do we do it? Also another question : do we always go with #2 lever open for creating the base for fade?

  • @JosCuts

    @JosCuts

    3 ай бұрын

    Yes the #2 to debulk is the best guard that I’ve found because it’s quick and straight to the point. If you’re a beginner beginner then use a 3 open but if the hair is short (less than 1.5 months worth of growth) then use a 2 open if you have anymore questions let me know🙏🏽 (I’ll upload a video for the top of the hair soon)

    Won’t that technique (vertical clipper over comb) make the hair get over directed? Just curious

  • @JosCuts

    @JosCuts

    6 ай бұрын

    Yes but that shouldn’t be a problem the whole point is to blend it to the sides. Try not to get too stuck on technical terms…. It’s just cutting hair. Make it simple. Make it fun. You’ll be a lot more successful that way ! 🙏🏽

    I don’t know why your mad. He’s fading, how are you gonna fade without all that guards ? How do you blend ? Do you even blend ? He has to get the job done and HE IS, so why are you that mad ? Coming on free video to be hatefull is actually crazy, you know he could’ve just get this on a private site and make people pay ? If you don’t appreciate is work, just log of but don’t make him the bad Guy, Because you are.
