it worked! I used 4 table spoons sugar and 2 tablespoons water, microwaved 30s about 5 or 6 times, make sure you work fast though cause the sugar hardens fast. To clean up harden sugar, just boil hot water and soak in it

I tried it and it worked really well and actually is pretty easy to clean. All you have to do is run hot water in the mug and let it dissolve.😊

tried it but 90% of the time was me using hot water to melt the hardened sugar;-;

This is the best thing EVER! The sugar did burn a few times but in the end it worked and we made some beautiful apple tanghulu 😊 loved it!

It burnt a few times because you’re not supposed to do it this way. In a lot of cases this has majorly backfired because it’s dangerous. You were lucky. Never do this again. It’s not meant for the microwave.

DO NOT attempt to recreate this. You can end up with serious burns or injury. The container can melt or shatter. Most "microwave-safe" containers are NOT meant to be heated to extreme temperatures. Please, if you want to make tanghulu you should do it in a METAL pot on the stove ONLY. The time convenience isn't worth your safety and a hospital trip. There have been so many people that have been hospitalized as a result of this dangerous trend.

Do 5-6 times! I did 7 times and it burnt while on my 6th time it was good (5-6 times 30 seconds and 1 time 1 minute)

To microwave bowl broke right as I took it out and it burned my hand a feet but like am scared to do it again 😊

umm so i used a bowl that isnt micoravable and it burnt the on the glass plate lol

It completely burned for me, it was clear then I put it in for another 30 seconds and it turned black and was horrible.
