Microtech Stich Unboxing - Blackened Borka Badassery

Unboxing the new Microtech Stitch in all black DLC. Such a good looking knife. I have lusted after the Borka Blades Stitch for a few years but they are $3000+ for a nice one. This is finally in reach at only $360. The only drawbacks are the full auto and the blade/handle ration. But it looks killer!

It took me three years, but I finally happened in to one in this exact configuration. In my mind, there’s nothing else like the stitch. Almost like it created its own category.

Thanks for the closer look Doc. You definitely highlighted some features that don't come across in all the photos I've seen online at dealers. Love the Stitch design and the customs are so awesome, unfortunately the price tag correlates to that. Auto puts it off limits in Australia, but hopefully your suspescions of a manual production version are on point. Seems fairly well executed at a reasonable price. It's great to see so many great production version of excellent customs that are out of my budget range. Really enjoying the variety you are bringing us recently, thanks for making the effort to share all the really cool stuff you have been experiencing.

I appreciate your comments! This particular knife is illegal in too many places. I feel sure they will make some form of a manual knife. With regards to the channel, I try to experience as much as possible, and not usually the well-trodden knives so many others have already reviewed. I try to find what is new and interesting to me. Thank you so much for your support!

Cool, and not a knife I'd connect with you right away (at least until it's open). That blade cutout really screws with the aesthetic IMHO, you can always make a hole bigger, but not smaller. Not sure what they're thinking - my thought is just to differentiate from the customs. Still, I love the forward grip, ultimately a knife to be used (auto-deploy) and not played with. *Thanks for showing!*

Seems they pulled a "Kershaw" with the auto deploy. The custom version on Borka Blade's instagram is pretty sweet - and he seemed quite happy with the spring. I'm sure this will be popular. Microtech can take a bite out of the Chinese market with this one.

The hole is there in case you decide to remove the device that swings the blade out making it a manual folding knife as apposed to a possibly illegal automatic knife. That's my guess anyhow

I love the bronzed hardware on this one. I have the regular ap finish on mine. My daily beater. The thing that I wish the would have done was offered this with Carbon Fiber scales. Aluminum handle scales just don't do it justice. The other thing that is crazy is the price of the Marfione Borka Stitch. You get the same aluminum scales, the only differences are in the knives is a blade touched by Anthony and Sebastian, and ti hardware. $1900 for a production frame with a Borka Marfione blessed blade is ridiculous. The production model is a hit for the price point, but the custom is a flop. Just my opinion.

BigThumpr1 I could not agree more. This knife is pure excellence at this price, and there is just no way to justify a $1500+ price increase for a slight modification tp the blade. I'm soooo tempted to send this to Josh ay REK for the blade treatment.

All else aside, I found that deploying an auto becomes boring. There's no technique - you push a button and it opens itself. One could argue the same holds true for a flipper, but it's still a manual and there's a greater sense of engagement opening a manual. My 2¢.
