This is no different from buying a Rolex or a Omega or some other high end luxury watch. You could apply this to any thing that can be collected. Cars fire arms what ever. I don’t blame you, if I could have one I would. Congratulations ,you are very blessed!

I like watches, knives, trucks, and guns, but even among my own interests, there are massive differences in what I'd be willing to pay for those categories. Expensive knives make me hesitant to use, so I'll watch an ungodly number of these videos on them, but I still don't own a knife that cost $100+. Meanwhile I'm looking at a $7k watch. If I have vastly different price ceilings and philosophies on use/value among my own interests, how in the hell could I act like my opinions on it all are what someone else's should be? People who don't understand that variance in perspectives make me wonder if they've ever had a thorough conversation in their life. As if they've never disagreed with someone on a deep enough level that they left thinking, "I guess we're just different." They must just leave every disagreement thinking the other person is dumb for not agreeing with them.

The difference is that there are likely exponentially more people that can appreciate and afford a luxury watch, or expensive firearm, than those that can appreciate and afford a knife like this. Either way, I suffer from the same affliction. Nice pickup, MC! May the farts be with you.

MC, you’re a real knife enthusiast. You can appreciate with the same joy a fine and well made economical one and the pinacle knives. To me , that’s the passion.
MC has made it to the level of a true collector. He deserves it! He also brings these (often unattainable) knives to us for FREE so just enjoy the presentation......

He more than deserves it. Dude has been pumping out quality material for years. He’s been my go-to for no bullshit reviews.
*_Absolutely gorgeous piece! Honestly, this is one of those pieces that I have to actually admit is worth the astronomically high price tag!_*
It's just gorgeous...If I had my own choices and full creative freedom on a stitch build, I don't know that I could have chosen something better than that...
You have convinced me to get my first stitch with all these videos recently. I was in the right place at the right time yesterday and managed to snag the plain edge aluminum body from EKnives. Keep making awesome videos dude!
That’s a beautiful knife, MC. Making a purchase like that is difficult in many respects. I’m glad you pulled the trigger; you’re going to enjoy that knife for many years.
Your custom stitch is so cool MC. congratulations on such an awesome custom knife.
Absolutely insane knife bro! I’m so happy for you and glad you got this, I’ve been drooling over these custom stitches for a long time and one day I’ll get one! Cheers my friend🍻
I absolutely agree with you that we should all be able to use our money to enjoy our lives and hobbies. I’m super glad that you have this in your collection. The only somewhat valid argument against this sort of thing is about the use of money for more altruistic reasons.
Man you don’t need to explain your purchases, it’s your life and like you said it’s your money. Your collection is cool af. Keep up the good work!
Congrats 🎉 Happy for you man!
That is gorgeous. Congratulations on the grail!
When I started watching mc 5 years ago, 300 was my glass ceiling for a knife. Boy that has changed. I can appreciate the days where a stitch was all but unobtanium. If I were to buy something in that price range, it would have to have mammoth molar or meteorite. I'm actually actively looking to fill that spot in my collection.
@ThatImmo
8 ай бұрын
When I got into knives, equivalent of 25 bucks in my country's currency was a ridiculous extravagance... I'm still firmly nested in a budget territory, but already got two knives that cost triple of my original glass ceiling and I think when it comes to pure EDC utility 100 is where the diminishing returns start. Having that said, I love some of the expensive knives that can be bought today.

While mammoth and meteorite are very cool materials, they aren’t necessarily adding much to the price tag on a custom knife. The overwhelming vast majority of what you pay for is time invested and applied skill. Obviously mammoth or meteorite inlays add a certain layer of complexity, but they aren’t the end all be all materials in custom knives. If that’s just what you like that’s cool, but I hope you don’t seek out those materials exclusively to justify the price tag.

@@landontreinen3062 lol, not even close. Keep in mind I've been collecting since the mid 80s and fully comprehend what goes into each price bracket, especially country of origin to make that price tag. I want what I want because I want it. Not even sure I'd show it off. And if I'm paying to get those materials on a knife, I'm not gonna put up with putting lipstick on a pig. That's not the girls I'm after. When I see what I want from a reputable maker in a model I care for, I'll buy it. Does that make sense to you? Protech godson had mammoth molar inlays on several models. I like protech, the price was good, but it just didn't speak to me. I'll hold out for something that I really like. I've had enough buyers remorse over the years ordering something online to be picky with my money. Been let down by plenty of reviews by guys I still generally watch on KZread. In the end, it's my money and I'll spend it how I see fit.
I personally think this is the most beautiful knife I've ever seen. Unfortunately, after seeing it in many of your videos, I said to myself, "I want one of those", before finding this video and then realizing that it's actually unobtainium. The Arrow Head with the thumb rest sold me with its artistic nature, yet it's still simple in form. The only downside is, being that expensive and what you sacrificed to obtain it, leaves you with a blade you will likely not get much use out of. However sir, that is a Fucking Knife!
Complex, I said it when you bought it and I’ll say it again, that Borka is my favorite knife in your collection. 2nd, I understand collecting regardless what your collecting. Congrats again. Have a great day.
This is such an amazing knife and I'm glad there are people who are able to spend the kind of coin these cost. Without you guys buying them, we wouldn't get to enjoy seeing them.
Appreciate you sharing your opinions with us. Enjoy your content and your insight is often valuable. I'm glad you took the path you did and that you choose to share what you've discovered.
Great choice! That is something special for sure! I think right now my grail knife is the timascus boa.
The RPG analogy is perfect and perfectly links my (and obviously your) hobbies
Bud. Holy shit. If you got into collecting guns? Customs, antiques, etc., that would be absolutely insane. INSANE.
Don't care for the stich myself but I'm very glad you have it. I know the feeling. I have a full custom Hawk Deadlock hanging from my neck on an old bootlace;) it's darkmatter fatcarbon with satin blade and hardware.
Love it! Congratulations!
Congrats man !!!!
And I have family who's hair is on fire that I spent $300+ on a blade. 😅 Stay Frosty, MC! ✊🏻
My favorite is the stich and wish I could have everyone of them! I only have a few knives and nothing on that level but will if I ever can. Being that I'm in Canada I'll likely never have any of the auto's, but I do have the ramlock stich coming! So excited and can't wait for it to get here. Laugh if you want but I'm getting a second one just incase something happens to the first one lol.
That knife is insanely cool. Congrats on it MC!
I could say spending $6k on a pocket knife you will never carry and use is stupid. But I own in excess of 1,000 Blu-ray movies. 😂 I enjoy the hunt of finding a rare movie in the wild for a good deal, almost as much as I enjoy owning the movie itself. To each their own. Collections are exclusively to get get self enjoyment, with a splash of showing them off to friends and/or fellow collectors. ✌️ and thanks for the content.
Such a gorgeous knife. I'm surprised you're not wearing gloves for that beauty.
Really happy for you MC! Now I want a custom stitch lmao
Ive always loved the shape and design of the stitch and i want one so bad but i told myself my first microtech would be a blue dirac with a bronze blade
We expect seeing outstanding, expensive cool things on your channel. Thank you for this justifacation.😮
Beautiful. Thank you for talking about this knife. However, I still think the Francois De Toit is the best out of anything.
I absolutely love that knife and I love that you were able to acquire your "Holy Grail". More power to you. Hopefully I will be able to acquire my grail someday.
Congrats on acquiring your grail knife MC, I hope you get all the enjoyment you can out of it. Even if it is an over priced, compound grind, mirror polished, Marfione monstrosity. That man does the most expensive mirror polished hand ground blades on the planet 😂
I have never, nor will I ever buy a knife that I can’t pay cash for. I’ve saved for months to get some of the knives in my collection. Several years ago I spent $1100 on a knife, and I don’t believe I’ll ever spend that much again. But I believe as long as it’s something YOU want then spend as much as you want. Congratulations MC on snagging your grail.
Life is short. You work hard for your money, and if you got it, get it. Buying an awesome knife from time to time makes life a little easier. I've seen people spend that much on guns and bows. it's about what makes you happy. Thanks for sharing, brother, awesome knife.👌
Agreed. And, yes, that's beautiful. I'm going to have to pick up pick up a "normal" production Stitch...because that particular high-end thing doesn't appeal to me. BUT....I get it. The first time I played a $50,000 guitar....I didn't want that one for a lot of reasons, even if I had the money sitting around. But, yeah...I get it. It's silly. It's pointless if you're only into the function of an object. But, I get it. Congrats.
Man, cool knife and great video. Cheers!
That's a sick knife man. Super cool!
It's true because at one time I thought a $50 dollar knife was premium. Then $100, then... Now I have a knife or 2 I've spent $400 plus. And there is great knives that work in all price points but it's all about what you like in life. People spend hundreds and even thousands on shoes and clothing that won't last. I mean I still can't see spending thousands on a knife. But who knows. Just a few years ago I couldn't see spending hundreds on a knife. Now I've had many knives thru my hands, though I only keep a handful of knives. I buy, trade, sell, and upgrade a lot. I think it's like collecting anything, you hopefully work your way up in the journey of life. My first good knife brought me a lot of joy and it was less than $100 and I still have it.
This knife is badassery…congratulations on this acquisition, you deserve it 👍🏻✌🏻
I want to get any type of stitch at some point, would make a nice 3rd Microtech.
I’m totally with you MC. I collect guns and I have some expensive guns that I’ll never shoot. I have other expensive guns that I would shoot anytime. I’ve learned to spend the money and buy what I like the first time and not just buy entry level stuff and waste money. Also, you and I have specific hobbies we love. I don’t buy other things. Guns were my thing and still are. Now I’m having fun with knives. Do what you love and have fun. This is what you do and you’re damned good at it. Life is short. You can only put so much money in the bank. I actually love your knife and I’m glad you love it! It’s things like this that makes it fun to get up every morning. Great buy!

That Borka harpoon blade is dummy thicc. Enjoy it Boss !!
It is amazing what some people would rather have than money. I just had to say that. I really understand since I am an enthusiast myself. Nice going.
I felt a bit similar about my sbd apex. 2nd most I've spent on a knife. Friends were like how much? Then they go drop 500 buck at some stupid casino. I do really like that knife and I will spend 3 or 4 hundred on a knife again no doubt.
Does nothing for me however I really do get the Marfione story and I get the price. OMHO when it comes to premium customs Marfione is pretty much the benchmark. Most of us will never get to see and handle one of these in real life so I really appreciate reviews such as yourself sharing. You don't need to justify this to anyone but yourself - enjoy!! Sharp blades all.
honestly go off, king this is awesome and you don’t have to explain yourself. if i could i would buy one too lol, another awesome video
Gull durnnit ! I don't why some feller would spend that much on no jimmy-jammy knife when you could git a whole wall of 3rd hand deer heads at the Goodwill, and a case of Old Mwaukies Finest. Sin Surley Yers, Skeeter McWifebeater Deliveranceville, TN
One has to do what they love, I just bought my first Hinderer xm-18 3.5 spear point S45VN Stonewashed. I said to myself, there you go...you did it. Then two weeks later with out any warning a Hinderer xm-18 3.5 HARPOON SPANTO Red scale Stonewashed S45VN dropped in my lap, $15.00 cheaper than the first one was...BNIB !!! Nearly dropping my phone in my coffee ... I shakingly bought it IMMEDIATELY !!! So, I know how you feel...kind of. I never thought I'd own harpoon spanto NEW...But here I am.😊
Good for you man! I like things too
AWESOME!!
I am fortunate to own a Microtech stitch. I thought I would put it off to the side and never carry it. I carry it every day since I bought it. I will find a reason to use it. It's not a show piece, it's a user. So, I use it. It's in my pocket right now.
Sigh 🥰... it's beautiful! I'm glad you have it!! You only live once, gotta do what makes you feel good, be happy.
there are people who spend 5,20,40,50+ thousand dollars on watches and jewelry, just gotta look at it from a collectors perspective. Some people spend hundreds of thousands and even millions on cars that sit in a garage forever. There are different values on things besides monitary value! congrats MC!
That's one Tacti-Beautiful Knife. It's a bit rich for my blood, but... I do have a 10k watch in my collection that doesn't do half as much as my $150 G-Shock can do.. Lol... 😂 So who am I to judge.. Enjoy it and keep up the great content👍😎
Finally got to order my grail today, a dlc stitch auto…now I gotta work my way up to one of these 😅
At first I was like what? How much? Then you spoke on it and 100% changed my view. That looks 🔥🔥
Would like to see you do the reviews and a reverse grip
That is gorgeous
Love love love this blade. Worth it
Bought a signature series MicroTech serialized #120 made 01/2023 had it for maybe 5 EDC I’m a knife guy myself but I will tell you the customer service for me was absolutely horrible lady was super rude and def overpriced for sure but a beautiful knife but tell you what my BenchMade has held up to the test of time and they’ve always been super nice and have always gone out of there way to help me. Beautiful knife my guy!!!! A true work of art! Very jealous 😂
I've spent 2 Grand on the Midgards Messer Valhalla Damasteel Version (limited to 30 pieces worldwide) because I freaking love the Valhalla, I love Midgards Messer and I just f*ing wanted THIS exact knife lol.. so I skipped through the first 7 minutes of you justifying your purchase to those who don't understand 🤣 I totally get you bro, awesome knife congrats on your purchase!
"Wicker and styrofoam." I like that!
Magnificent !!!
It looks like a shark so sharp // So happy for you bro thanks for your minblowing quality vieos ! hi from France
Awesome.
Congratulations @metalcomplex. I'm happy for you.
I’ve been looking for a whicker and styrofoam knife. I haven’t found it yet but I am still looking. And I am willing to pay top dollar. Preferably in black DLC.
That thing is absolutely wicked
Love what you love. That thing is f-cken awesome. Remember that knife was handled by both Borka and Marfione. Not many knives can boast about that.
Go to NC Blade and look at theirs. They have a 10400.00 Marfione Borka
To me it looks like something United Cutlery would produce, but happy yer satisfied with it. Congrats man, thats a heavy investment.
We're blade peoples, we like knives! I paid $150 before. End of the day Who Cares what "They" think, it's your collection
From my perspective it has more utility than a diamond ring and people spend millions on those. Or an old comic or piece of art. It is all about perspective. If knives were mainstream it would cost as much as a Rolex.
Just in case the price never actually gets mentioned, they're $6.3k

Yeah i lusted after the microtech LUDT for 3 years and when it became available $277 was nothing😊
I agree with you 100%!!
I tried to do what you suggested, but I really can’t think of anything. I will pay that type of money for! But I surely don’t mind you spending your money on it!
100% with you. Life is too short
that knife is sick. the tritium inserts are in places over never seen
Show us a cut test with that bad boy 😅 Only joking obviously that knifes edge would never even see paper if I owned it. Absolutely stunning knife in every way possible.
Bought a painting for 1,500 10 years ago…just saw another similar one by same artist for 8-9,000 . Maybe you will be considering selling when it’s appreciated value meets your expectations…so enjoy and sell when you feel like it..or leave it to someone special who will continue the love.
Good lookin blade!
An older friend told me nothing cost too much if you want it bad enough
I've never seen a Hurst pulling a wagon!!... With that being said, I get it 1000%... I've spent a hellava lot more than that on adult type things that only brought me what I thought was joy at that moment... Don't get me wrong, also a lot of great memories, but nothing tangible to hold in my hands and appreciate!!... Do you my man and stay happy!!
That blade and pivot are gorgeous. And if people think this is too much for a knife, Lets talk watches.
I have knives I've spent so much money on , I refuse to open my mail with them , it all started with Randalls 😢 then the firearms came in lol
i have something to say to you!!!! congratulations and enjoy, awesome knife....
wife comes home "baby what are you doing" complex " nothin" wife "did you buy another knife" complex "maybe" wife "how much was this one" complex...... - starts crying instantly
Don’t let anyone get you down, cause even tho I wouldn’t spend more on a knife than I did for my car, but there’s plenty of stuff I’ve dumped an unhealthy amount of money into that most people would say is abhorrent waste. The only plus side to you splurging is the fact your “item” retains if not grows in value. Mine are usually worthless to just about everyone as soon as I make the transaction.
Congrats and enjoy! Signed, a guy wearing a 5 of your knives on his wrist, every day.
I think after seeing this video I will start a long and intensive search for a weed whacker made from grade 23 Titanium with a custom Palladium handle... 😉
Omg this thing is insane
Long as its worth it to YOU, that's all that matters. By the way, beautiful knaff broski
$6200... $620 would have been expensive AF... I was gonna say something but, I do plan to buy a Pepsi face Rolex next year. ^_^ Enjoy. Personally looking at the other models i would have picked one more unique than black Titanium. If thats what you wanted...
Glad you like it .. hard to judge just from video, as as you hit it is hideous. Also I`m nowhere close to phase of knives enjoying where I would buy something I wouldnt use, Im still in hundreds $ not thousands $ sector so I`m not even going to try to relate :) I like the basic Stitch though. Your money your business.
I just got mine- wow!!!!
