If you wanted to redeem anything on the Microsoft Rewards website, you need to verify your phone number. However, if you redeem cirten rewards on the XBOX app, then you don't need any verification. Knowing that microsoft and xbox run on the same program, I don't understand why you don't need verification when redeeming on the XBOX app. Correct me if i'm wrong.
