I really don't understand why Disney decided to buy Club Penguin. Once they bought it. Club Penguin went downhill and they are not getting anything out of the game since they shut it down

You mean to tell me Club Penguin 2005-2007 was better than 2007-2017? I don’t think so. The late 2000s and early 2010s were the best years for Club Penguin

its annoying that Club Penguin got shutdown when they could've just kept it online with their fkn BILLIONS OF DOLLARS and they wonder why people are making copies cause it was everyone's childhood game

Yeah but the problem is that the kids who once played Club Penguin aren’t kids anymore. It’s not catered to our age. I know it’s hard to let go but Flash MMO games aren’t mainstream anymore. As a kid in the mid 2010s, I enjoyed a lot of digital games more as it was more modern.

The way I look at it is, NewCP is basically a continuation of CPOnline kind of as if it never went down. It is coded almost the same and works very similarly as CPO did besides all the cosmetic updates. But the leaderboards, outfit saver and the pond all came from CPO which are works of Jonas. (Papafordtruc from CPO here, if you remember me. Yes I am still around just not really in the CPPS community anymore)

actually club penguin was made by lance priebe in 2005 and disney bought it in 2007

To make things a little more clear, the only reason Rewritten and Online got closed down was simply due to one allowing advertisements on their site thus making some money from them which caused disney to take action (big rule here is to try to be non-profit as possible if ya wanna stay up) and the other one got taken down because of some illegal activity by the developer beyond the scenes (long long story there) Aside from those two bad apples, some Private Servers are fine like Club Penguin Journey and I don't see that much wrong with New Club Penguin, however as for other CPPS stuff I would recommend being careful in certain cases just in case.

I have no empathy towards the mods of Rewritten because they illegally monetized ads, bought a house with that money, unfairly ban players, and refused to remove ads after Disney requested them to do so. I don’t like how the fandom romanticizes the game.

i found a way to play newcp without downloading it, ive been playing for almost a day, and it seems pretty safe, a bit buggy but super fun and a nice way to have some nostalgia.

@@neha3726 im just using a chromebook thats so old it cant do the more recent updates so when i get "flash is out of date" an option shows up to either update flash or "run plugin anyway"

@@echonomad94 I had a asus zephyrus at the time. It installed adware and definitely slowed my pc. Made sure it was the official link too. Uninstalled due to my antivirus

CPRewritten was shut down by Disney because of copyright infringement leading to 3 arrests. CPOnline was shut down because inappropriate content was accessible to children. All that just being the surface level. Summed up, Disney don’t care as long it doesn’t break rules by making money off the game through memberships and etc.. or hurts their brand. That’s why they care so much about it.

The problem with New Club Penguin is that they run ads when you are playing the game, the owners are making money off this no doubt about it. The question is when will Disney catch up like they did with Club Penguin Online and Club penguin rewritten?

So new club penguin is all that's left huh? I cant get the game to download and their "support" staff is less than unhelpful. When they wouldnt help me and I said something about it they kicked me from the server and I cant find any information on google. So yeah, rip my childhood

You can try Club Penguin Forever and Super Club Penguin but they are pretty dodgy so I don't recommend them

cplegacy is really popular now, it has a large friendly community and regular updates and a friendly team. its also on browser (non downloadable)

1 Don't click the download link. 2 Did you use a email that you use on a day to day basis? If not, then it's possible you can just delete your email to save any spam or anything that can cause your pc harm when you click on any other links.
