Microsoft Flight Simulator Mignet HM.14 "Flying Flea"

Ойындар

What on earth did I stumble on here! MSFS has added The Flying Flea to the marketplace. It is a 1930's kit aircraft made by Henri Mignet. It has one of the most unique designs I have ever seen in an aircraft as it does not have an aileron or elevator! Come fly with me at the Lundy Island Airport. I might have called it Landy in the video, but it is a fantastic little place to fly a fantastic little experimental Flea! Thanks to "amb7364" on flightsim.to for making a fantastic freeware airport. I referred to the island as “Landy” but it is Lundy Island. Also check it out at night as the lighthouse is operational! flightsim.to/file/27589/egzv-lundy-island-airfield-lundy-island-bristol-channel-england-uk-upgrade

No way! That is amazing! I tried to find videos of one flying that was newer and couldn’t. I bet it was so much fun!

This aircraft is really funny and for what I have seen there is even in several variants. I am temped to buy it, because this developer merit help for the fantasy displayed in creating this little gem.

There are 4 different engines included and quite a few variants of each. It is also very highly detailed with some cool features. Not sure I’ll fly it all that much but it does make you smile! Thanks for watching!

I agree! I did a double take when I saw it pop up and had to look into it more!

It looks neat.. But I really wish it had the original fleas deficiency:in a dive, when they got too fast dives became unrecoverable, because back stick pulling the front wing down only increased the aft wings lift further increasing the dive.

I didn’t think about that but it makes total sense with the design. Thanks for watching!

The name of the actual plane was "Le Pou du Ciel", which could be translated in "The Sky Lice" (yes, I know...) Also, the livery doesn't seem right to me, since in French, you wouldn't write "Viva la France" but "Vive la France" (Viva would be in Italian or Spanish). As a matter of fact, we are secure enough for not feeling the urge to write it everywhere, so I doubt there was ever an actual Pou du Ciel with that kind of vane lettering. Your video is great, though!

Looks like a lot of love went into this plane, it's full of detail. I'm a bit wary of the complicated nature of its workings, as due to disability i have to use keyboard and mouse to fly, but ithink i might take the gamble, it looks too good not to. Thank you for the video it was fascinating, also glad you missed that wall at the end there haha :D

It should fly just the same for you with your keyboard controls. You are still using your aileron/elevator key command to turn it just handles differently and will move the rudder and wing instead. Thanks for watching!!
