MSFS G1000 Capturing an ILS

Ойындар

Are you are having a hard time understanding how to setup up a flight plan in Microsoft Flight Simulator and use the G1000 to capture an ILS approach? This video will show you how to make sure you get it every time and what information you need to know to setup up the G1000. This is flown in the Carenado Cessna 182T but will work in any aircraft with a G1000!

Thank you for a very clear and concise set of instructions on how to pick up a localiser and glideslope. I have successfully landed a plane on instruments with ATC not shouting at me for the first time.🙂

That’s awesome!! Always a good feeling when ATC doesn’t yell at you as they are definitely not the best controllers!

Thank you for that... Quick note - you didn't add the link you mentioned to your VNAV video in the description. I found it btw - watching it next... 😊 👍🏻

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I fly mostly GA gauges and am getting into the Garmin and auto pilot now. This helped a lot. Thumbs up and SUB'd.

I too always love steam gauges over a glass cockpit and prefer low and slow vs airliners. Using the autopilot with Garmins is fantastic for bad weather or longer flights. But there is nothing more satisfying than trimming out an aircraft manually and it just flys along. Cheers!!

@@sprocketsimulationshi sprocket I just bought the tecnam and was just wondering if the navigation system is just the same as the 172 as it looks very similar

If it is the G1000 it should be. Some of the autopilot integration might be different as early G1000s didn’t have the included autopilot. I don’t own the Tecnam but you should be able to follow these steps still.

I fly mainly general aviation but occasionally airliners. My favorite at the moment is probably the Cessna 414 from FlySimWare. Here is a video on my setup kzread.info/dash/bejne/oHibmaSomKbFnNI.html - I wouldn't call it high end as you can go much higher, and this is now all last generation hardware, but it is great for my needs. I leave it on ultra settings, and I am sure I could teak it a little more to get a couple of FPS more, but I stay right around 50-60 FPS in complex areas at low altitude, but it will get above 100 if I am at higher altitudes like 20,000ft or higher.
