That takeoff rotation was a perfect example of why you aren't supposed to follow the FD during takeoff. You pitch up smoothly to 20' nose up then take the FD after a thousand feet or something.

Hi! About the "No mode" on the TRP, when you're doing a T.O flex you need to go to the ART switch and put it in the OFF position

Upgraded MD82 software and bought the expansion pack, now I have MD83 and MD88 as well 🙂 25 Euros, not a bad price for two more aircrafts in the same series 😅

Check that your pressurization landing elevation and altimeter are set, the panel switch is set to primary, cabin rate set facing upward.

One question - once you catch the ILS, do you wait to catch the GS before turning on Autoland, or do you press Autoland before the GS?! I just wanted to see if it worked.

Never performed an autoland in the maddog, only in an A320. By that logic you would activate autoland after capturing glideslope.

Why would the landing lights be turned off before reaching 10K?

The 2 outboard landing lights extend out of the wingtips, it creates a lot of drag. That being said I don't know if the MD-80 is actually exempt from that rule, but I have seen countless crews do it in the real world, so I roll with it.
