Microscope slide chamber for plankton

Using an O-ring to make a microscope slide chamber for holding plankton samples. The Vaseline seal ensures the contents do not dry out for a day or more.

    Hello Clive. After having been away from the hobby for quite a while, I've noticed depression slides, or as I've known them as deepwell slides, are not as deep as I recall them to be. The O-ring spacer is an elegant solution to that problem. Thank you very much for putting this video up.

    That black circle, what's its name? I tried it today in the laboratory, but I did not find better results. Perhaps I was not able to imitate you well

The main challenge is making a waterproof seal. O-rings come in different thicknesses - the bigger the depth, the more volume you can examine but the image quality will be reduced.
