Brilliant review as ever John! i like your style of review, picking up on the smallest detail of what ultimately could be a game changer as to whether i buy that product. Like you, i have the wheel woolies but cant get a woolie to really get between front brake caliper and barrel and they also rub hard against the shield on my Focus ST. I first saw the incredibrush on another channel i subscribe to and he mentioned what a great tool it was but didn't go in depth like you did...you cover all aspects. Even covering those annoying drops of water from the mirror etc, never seen that before and i'm a little ocd when it comes to cleanliness of my car! I am so glad i found your channel!

Very useful as ever John. I've been looking at the incredibrush. I like the springloaded handle, means you should be able to put a bit more pressure when cleaning. Also I'm thinking that the drying attachment could be used to spread a spray product around the barrels to top up protection. Couldn't do that with a brush.

I got myself one of the incredipads and I've gotta say they do are the business. Before I've just been using a generic noodle wash mitt. It did get the job done but compared to the incredipad its two different worlds. The incredipad holds a tonne of water, and I got the car cleaned in about half the time it usually takes. I'm not sure about how gentle it is on the paint as the car I cleaned has some micro scratches from a poor previous wash. Hopefully, the sponge material and the microfibre hold up, but so far its great.

I have two Incredipad XLs and love them. Very high quality product. Don't think you'll find anything better. I just got the Incredipole and 3 covers to make washing hoods and roofs easier. I have the Incredibrush as well, but find that it's a bit difficult to use with wheels like those on our '21 Accord that have small areas that even the flat Incredibrush just can't get into. Also, the fact that you have to wash the cover after every use makes it a bit of a pain. I much prefer using the MaxShine wheel brushes for that reason, but those do run the risk of product getting flung into your clothes, skin, and eyes. I also bought the Wheel Woolies B kit to try for those smaller wheel areas, but they haven't arrived yet.

Great video. Couldn’t agree more regarding Wheel Woolies, I was so disappointed in them, especially considering what they cost. I have a m240i so the same wheels as your m135i and they’re as good as useless. Currently use Vikan and EZ brushes but thinking I might give these a whirl. I’m yet to find a brush that easily tackles the bloody awful crap collecting recess on the m240i wheels.

Great review, might be interested in the incredibrush, since my EZ detail brush is failing on me... But i have a discussion that i would like to have with you about sponge vs pad vs mitt. It basicaly comes down to pressure applied to the paint for me. I want the soap to do the job, and don't be too agressive with the mitt/pad. And i feel, especially on vertical panels, that the pad is made so that you need to apply a good amount of force/pressure against the panel so it won't fell off on the ground. But with the mitt, you can basicaly just "glide" it against the paint. Moreover, especially on a pad of this size that doesn't cover the end of your finger, you might end up hit the paint with you nail (i don't have long nails but still have ones). Don't know if it will suffice to scratching the paint of my bmw, but it doesn't seem that safe imo. Let me know what you think And also, you tried the Gtechniq wash mitt, and i know that a bunch of version of it exist under diferent brands. And they seem quite similar/identical in the video, are they the same? Mine kinda has the same "incredi" structure that you talked about..

Create video & review John. I'm a big fan of Microfber Madness, been using the Incredisponge as my go to wash tool for years. Really interested in giving the Incredibrush a go. Like yourself I've always used Wheel Woolies but I've always had issues with the large brush scraping against the discs, although I don't have the performance brakes on my 1 series it still catches the discs and calipers, and now it's starting to look a little worse for wear.

Hi John, mate when talking about the harsh nylon wheel brush that dulls the rims over time, which brush are you targeting when you say that? The EZ detail wheel brush? I'm thinking of either buying the ez detail wheel brush or a set of wheel woolies, are the wheel woolies harsh on the rims i.e making it dull over time? Thanks

michael, the wheel woolies have a patent I think around how the brush is constructed.. All the similiar products Ive seen so far that look like wheel woolies.. "tend" to have this adhesive strip brush thats wrapped around the shaft.. And these are generally much more prone to failure.. Im not saying thats the case with the carbon collective product you link in though.. but take a look.

another great review John, how do you rate the Incrdibrush against the large EZ brush which i believe you are a fan of ?

  • @ForensicDetailing

    @ForensicDetailing

    6 жыл бұрын

EZ brush is more agressive, scrubs the surface of the barrels with hundreds of thin nylon strands.. shifts heavier thicker brake dust away more effectivly and can access more of the barrel or get in to very tight gaps better (some alloys have very small access gaps).. the incredi brush (flat) can still access most barrels. Its using soft microfiber to remove the brake dust, it isnt as agressive.. but for very high condition alloys where you are interested in reducing micro scratching for the brush itself, where perhaps the brake dust build up isnt too bad, or isnt "stuck" on as much (from a coating).. then the less agressive product could be the one to go for. That being said just from rubbing the brake dust you would prolly put some level of tiny scratches that could been seen with workshop lighting.. its going to come down to what you want and how cautious you are. these tools are really both about barrel cleaning and the barrel of an alloy is one area where you are generally less worried about flawless clearcoat, but nylon brushes do put microscratches in clearcoat I could show you that in a video easily enough, enough to make a difference versus other formats though is the killer question... the EZ brush for sure would be the Professional Valeters choice... but the Incredibrush flat might be the choice for some Professional detailers working on exotics etc.. Or even the hobbyst choice for the reasons above.. both very nice products.. I wouldnt want to be without either really and thats not sitting on the fence I really have uses for both of them.

  • @ForensicDetailing

insufficent information to answer that properly hakman.. too many variables also.. no answer would be correct for all circumstances... depends how much you want to cut, what your abrasive your cutting with, what machine your doing the cutting, what pad, clearcoat hardness.. etc, etc, etc.... generally when compounding though you will work your product for its full life until the abrasive system looses its lubrication system (usually as a result of the water component drying up)... with the products I use I tend to overwork the hell out of them because they just keep going.. most abrasives dont work like that though so I avoid them.

just from googling it those alloys look like a nightmare to clean.. I think the brush might be able to get through the gaps where the spokes meet the barrel (so you can actually get at the barrel).. Its really hard to say mate without having the alloys in front to actually test it.. but if you look at the overlays pictures in the video you can see the brush was getting in some really tight spots..

I do appreciate that once you've invested in the brush, you CAN buy new microfiber covers to install on the brush (which is a point that I don't think you covered in your video). www.microfibermadness.de/en/product/incredibrush-covers

its really nice... the only thing its not good for is scrubbing heavily contaminated filfthy alloys... but to clean those properly wheels need to come off etc.. but in terms of cleaning alloy wheels safely and the ergonomics Ive not found anything better..... been a fair few months since shoting this and the brush is in the same condition as well... good product.

Ive seen other offerings of this treble layer microfiber mitt.. And some of them do represent good value.. most of the other offerings come direct from wholesale suppliers.. you will be able to get cheaper offerings (and cheaper can be very cool as well so Im not trashing other brands with these products).. but Microfiber madness machine theirs in germany and like Jan's picture shows.. there is a difference in the quality of the microfiber being used.. Microfiber madness, could quite easily go wholesale.. but they choose a different route.. Not because its more profitable, but because they are all about trying to provide "top" quality.. brands that deliver on quality tend to do well long term.

hey josh just remember, dont buy things unless you need them or you will end up spending a fortune. And you can get very affordable things as well. You are the most important piece of the jigsaw puzzle when it comes to how well your car is maintained.

@@ForensicDetailing before I came across your channel I was washing my car with one single shallow bucket with fairy liquid and hot water solution and an old sponge with chunks missing from it 😂 who knew washing up liquid was bad for your paint 🤦‍♂️
