You can add the butter before popping. It melts before the kernels start to pop and then as the kernels pop, the butter evenly costs all of the popped corn. It’s just like movie popcorn, I also add a tiny bit of popcorn salt on top of the butter before popping.

Thanks for the great tips! I followed the directions with the popper to add the butter afterwards, but I like the way you do it better. Thanks a lot!

I received one as a present. I have a hot air popper I also use. When I make popcorn for just me it's perfect. A little hint melt a pat of butter inside before adding the popcorn kernels, coat them with butter then microwave. A lot less unpopped kernels.

That’s a pretty neat popper ! I remember as a kid making Jiffy Pop popcorn on the stove. It came in metal trays with a wire handle and a foil cover. When the corn popped it would puff out into a foil ball. When done popping you tore the foil open at the top and chowed down ! I guess I’m dating myself though because that was big in the sixties and seventies ! 🤣

It only pops about half the kernels in my microwave. If I go too long, it starts burning the kernels that popped earlier. Wish it would work, but I may go back to an air popper.

We haven’t used it yet.....were going to make it last night but it got late and we never did 😳 I guess you have to keep popping until you don’t here them popping anymore🤔 Thanks for sharing......Hugs, Dolores......The Baking Diva

The Baking Diva Thanks for commenting. Now that i have more practice with it, i found the best way is to fill two lids full, pop for 6 minutes, and put the butter in the lid when u put it in the microwave. Dont stop and start the cooking time. It comes out really great. Hope my learnings are helpful.

Nice Review - Thank you. These Units are quite EXPENSIVE to purchase depending on your geographic location. For instance, in the UK, they are sold on Amazon for approximately UK £50, which seems very OVERPRICED for what is essentially a Glass Jar with Lid. Isn't it just better, as well as a WHOLE LOT CHEAPER to simply use a large Pyrex Glass Bowl with Plastic Lid ??? These can be bought for less than Ten Bucks, for instance. The only advantage this Unit offers is the Butter Reservoir on the Lid. Butter and other seasoning can surely be added afterwards too. 🤔🤔🤔

Hi Kathy, Did you put the butter at the end for a reason? Just curious because they say put butter in the silicone before it cooked and wasn't sure if you did that way for a reason? Trick? Well thanks for the video!!!! You are so appreciated😘😘😘

Thank you, Tara. Well I read in the instructions that to avoid kernels burning, an option is to add the butter after popping. But after receiving comments from viewers and talking to other friends too, I'm learning that it works very well adding the butter to the lid before popping and most people pop their corn for 5 minutes. So that's what I'm doing now. Thanks for the great question!

  • @kathyottersen8100

Yes, i double what they recommend, but there has to be some room for the kernels to jump around when they pop. You could probably add another batch of corn to this, but thats about all. Thanks for your good question.
