how high is that cot? Is there a 3 inch foam padding on it? I've been thinking about this tent but want to know if its cozy with a low camp chair, standard cot, and heater or if it feels too tight. Also wondering, since you're practically the only person on youtube right now that has a review with this tent that has a cot set up in it, does the sloping walls make you feel like you have to hunch over when sitting on the cot when its against one side? Can't find any information anywhere on what the dimensions are half way up and at the top as the slopping walls narrow the space. All they tell you is 4 foot high and 6.5x8. That really doesn't say anything for practicality with a standard height cot.

So my cot is 75”x25”x20” l,w,h And I had a 2” airpad on it. When i sit on the cot I do not feel cramped. Im 6’ tall. The walls of the tent slope a bit towards top but better than most all tents. With the low chair, cot and side table I feel vey comfy and cozy with plenty of room to maneuver. Very spacious for one person and this setup.

I’ve been using this tent for a few years now and love it! Been toying with the idea of using a cot, im new to your channel and might have missed if you mentioned it already. What cot are you using? I’ve been all over the place with the right height and by judging with what I’ve seen yours might be a good fit for what I’m looking for Thanks in advance

Kernel I live in Oklahoma so I know how violent storms can be..I have a white duck canvas bell tent that survived 85 mile an hour straight line winds..it did well

In real life you can’t run in the house 🤣🤣🤣 Nice video though. The exact set-up I’ve been looking for. Kodiak 2-person with a cot and see how much extra room it has while sitting upright and around the cot on the floor. It’s perfect for me! Oh and in the field, trees around the tent will really cut out that wind.

did the tent leak at all? This is the type of review I was looking for so thank you for that! I'm just wondering if the floor leaked at all. I've read reviews here and there about the Kodiak tents leaking but they could have been defective tents.

Hugs you looked scared that was insane. We have the teton 6m 5m and getting this version today as a porch. Stay safe are you getting a stove?

The Teton one is nice, i have a small stove that I use with my teepee tent

Wow. It sounds terrifying outside but seems so comfortable in the tent. I think I would have had to have a laptop on or something to drown the sounds of the rain...and hide under the blankets from the flashes of light.

@@LifeWithKernelLee Its looks great. I own a springbar outfitter which is quite similar to the Kodiak. Set up is almost the same. I thought about the compact tent but I really wanted one that I can stand up in.

I would have made a bee line running from that tent naked with all that noise 😅 I'm no longer terrified of storms but I grew up in tornado alley and storms meant somebody's house was getting knocked down and probably with them in it.

Can you identify that Quest chair in a little more detail? Might you have a link? EDIT - I think I found it: A Quest Low Rock chair from Dick's Sporting Goods. I'm thinking of getting that small Flex-Bow for myself and the chair looked like a great addition.
