As it turns out, this short originally had a soundtrack all along! Features previously missing opening and closing titles as well.

The last thing I'd expect to hear in this movie would be The Gonk. At first I thought its autenticity was very dubious, until I found out that The Gonk was composed in 1965 by Herbert Chappell. Does Adam Savage know that the short is now available in its full glory?

I recall that piece also appearing in a Sports blooper film I found produced sometime in the 70's. I wouldn't doubt it got mileage for comedic uses except for Dawn of the Dead (and perhaps this film given it's ironic use).

Yeah it’s from the DeWolf soundtrack library. George Romero used a lot of cues from them for the Dawn of the Dead soundtrack. He was fond of these types of cues.

I’m really glad that this was found, because the message really is powerful, and still holds up to this day. War isn’t a fun adventure, despite what several advertisements for the U.S. Military make it out to be. People lose their lives with no idea of what they’re getting into.

Though his time in Vietnam was very brief, Michael Theodore “Mickey” Mouse would later posthumously be awarded the Medal of Honor for being Mickey Mouse. He was survived by his wife, Minerva Theresa “Minnie” Mouse and his unborn son. Minnie, upon hearing the news of Mickey’s tragic death, immediately moved in with his neighbor, Gerald G. “Goofy” Goof. The two married a few short months later, and by some miracle, Minnie’s son looked almost exactly like Mr. Goof when he was finally born. They named him “Max”.
