That's not uncommon in entertainment and sports when someone has a fatal or near fatal incident. Happens a lot in motorsport particularly (Anthoine Hubert springs to mind), and it happened in football (the soccer kind) at the Euros a few years back where Erikson had a heart attack on the pitch on live TV infront of everyone. I imagine it'd be down to the athletes/performers if they want to keep going or not, and it'd be done to try and curb worry in the crowd that they've just seen someone die or nearly die. Nobody wants to be in that crowd, especially at a WWE event where there's a lot of kids in the crowd - you keep the show going so you don't give kids nightmares. There's a lot of reasons to think McMahon is a shit cunt but continuing the show after Owen Hart fell isn't one of them.

I will never forget that night. I remember watching the promo of Owen shortly before it happened and thought to myself "I can't stand Owen !!" I was young and hated his current gimmick. Then the bad stuff happened and I felt crushed for thinking that. Even at a young age (around 13) I thought it was wrong to continue the show.

Let’s not forget either that Trump, Epstein, and McMahon were in the same circles (and all three of them did wrongs - putting it lightly - towards women). How can people be surprised by any of this? There were stories about Vince going around since the late 70s and early 80s. Stories about slapping, kicking and throwing objects to the face of employs of the company. Stories about sexual misconduct and inappropriate sexual advances towards to both men and women. In the 90s he started playing the abusive boss as a character on the shows but he was just laughing at people because he was playing himself, just like he was in real life. Every incident was settled outside the court. People were pushed away with a little bit of money and with threats that if they lawsuit or press charges they would never work in the entertainment business again. So people took the money and shut up, the other directors knew about everything (or at least most of it) but Vince was regarded has the golden goose, we was the man, the money maker, the contract closer so nobody did anything and in fact helped cover everything. In the 80s and 90s social media didn't yet exist, not as it is today anyway, and phones didn't have cameras so people didn't have proof, it was all allegations that nobody backed up. What finally brought down Vince was feeling like Caligula, feeling that he could do anything and get away with anything and the pathological need to put it in everybody's face sharing videos and messages to boast his ego. Like telling people I'm some sort of god, look at the stuff I can make people do. I hope Vince gets is just rewards and the people that helped him, and smiled and sold their souls to make a buck I hope they get some also. You can't dance with the Devil and keep your hands clean and if the wrestlers and other people who saw the videos and read the messages and saw things and heard things. If these people have any decency they should come out and admit it. At least man up and say I saw, I read but didn't say anything out of fear and then maybe they will save their career.

I think we could see enough in his public humiliation of his talent big, proud, strong men that were physical people-- agree to having their face rubbed in someone's ass on tv. He had a stranglehold on the business and if you wanted to make money in wrestling, you had to deal with him. His public humiliation of the talent is enough to imagine how bad it must've been behind closed doors, much less to women. Their contracts were so iron clad he was able to get away with a lot and no one could really say a word. I just read something with Kevin Nash and he almost acted like he was disgusted with the women that filed lawsuits by saying "if a 77 year old man did this to me" or "if he's such a sexual predator, why wouldn't you want him locked up?". It's the people like this that know, but are still covering that are almost as bad as he ism

@GameTime-yj6qv A lot of guys are being classy right now, and what that breaks down to behaviorally is that they will not have meaningful conversations. Classy is great. This moment needs honesty. We need men to say something meaningful, not just regurgitate the fact that it needs to happen in court and that allegations are only allegations blah blah blah. I hear this might be the last podcast. If that's true I can almost guarantee you it's because he does not want to be associated with what's happening in wrestling right now. That would be him being classy and handling it out of the spotlight, But we need people talking about this in the spotlight. I'm disappointed in him. He's the best of all of them in my opinion, And I would expect more.

I don’t think this ruins any of our memories. I grew up watching WCW/NWA and WWF. I’ve never thought Vince McMahon was a good person, but I can separate the wrestlers from his actions. Honestly, the only thing I’m worried about is what’s going to happen to the WWE network at the end of the year. The only reason I have a subscription to Peacock is for the network. I don’t give two shits about modern wrestling I haven’t watched a full episode of Monday night raw since 2007 and I don’t really care to probably will never do it again. But I love the WWE network because I can watch old NWA wrestling, WCW in the 90s, WWF in the 80s and 90s, smoky mountain wrestling, world class championship wrestling. The best wrestling you can watch right now is still all that old stuff from the 80s and 90s on the network and I still watch it on a weekly basis.

Martha Stewart’s career never regained its peak after she went to prison. Do you see Tiffany haddish in any comedy specials after that “sketch” video of hers came out?
