Oh, wow, this was so much fun. You know how to holiday! I've always wanted to go to Mackinac Island! And all those authors!!! I'm so jealous!!!! Baker Book House is my idea of Disneyland! lol

It was a lake, but honestly it was so big that it did feel like the ocean.🥰
The book dating thing was so funny😂. I would love to go to any event like that.

I’m glad u and your family had a good vacation in my state. I live in Mid-Michigan and I got to stay in the Grand Hotel once. There is so much to do in Michigan😊 Bookworm lady

There is a lot to do in Michigan! I got to stay at the Grand Hotel years ago for a few nights and it was wonderful! Only had lunch this trip but it was still magical.😊
We were in Frankenmuth in May. Such a cute place.

I like that missing person.missing time trope. (Also, I tried a man named ove, and I could not with the writing style. It was too 'matter of fact', like no other option than his narrative. lol, Sometimes we just don't have the time for it. :)

Hi Caity, have you heard of LIGHT AND AIR? by Mindy Nichols Wendell Middle grade about the Tb sanitarium by Buffalo. I just finished reading it and can highly recommend it.

So glad you had a wonderful trip to our great state of MI ❤ My oldest daughter got engaged at the Silent Night chapel at Frankenmuth!! A fun place, how could you only buy one ornament!?! Mackinac Island is one of my fav places!! I hope you had time to sit on the front porch and enjoy the view!! Did you get some fudge?? Such a fun author event, too!! Great book haul :)

@@carlaking3459 I did spend time enjoying the porch and yes we got some fudge, we got a cherry flavored one.
I’m sure happy to see how tired you are on Sunday. I was wiped out after a week in MI and the long drive home. Isn’t Frankenmuth a unique place? Glad you loved Mackinac Island. Did you stay at the Grand? So fun hanging out with you -and your folks-at BBH. Great book selections.

@@susanbaggott7000 I was so tired, and I still am. I've been to Frankenmuth and Mackinac Island before when I went on a solo trip, but it was my parents first time. I got to stay at the Grand when I went by myself but it's too expensive now. We did get to have lunch there though.
