Good game MSU. Though I'm bummed we lost, I am excited that this is now a good rivalry again on the ice. The battles of the 90s and 2000s were great and it was competitive through 2008. This is your best hockey team since Abdelkader was there. Also while it's improved, college hockey still doesn't get enough coverage.

I'm starting to fall in love with developmental hockey in America. These guys are working hard.

puck was bouncing under goalie, was in the net before the whistles blew. Maybe they could have blown the whistle sooner but goalie didn’t have clear control. This is a great illustration why players are coached from a young age to play until you hear the whistle.

What I can’t stand about NCAA Highlights or any hockey highlights for that matter is that they only show the goals and not the saves? A great save by a goaltender is like them scoring? It’s keeping a goal off the board, which is in theory the same as scoring. SHOW AUGUSTINE’S SAVES

Marchinski is the biggest fraud of a goalie I've ever seen. Same with Portillo last year. What the fuck happened to the years where they had Blackburn, Turco, Montoya, Ruden, Sauer, Hogan, and Hunwick all in a row? It's just trash goalie year after year now.

I was about to write a comment on the terrible year of Goaltending from Michigan. The one goal should not have stand but those other goals were weak. All year its been that way.

4 of the 5 goals were just horrible. That being said, Michigan had clean possession and no reason to turn the puck over on at least 4 of the goals. They were just chucking the puck up the boards like it was a mens C league game.

How do they let goal #3 for Michigan State stand 😂 the guy deliberately pushed the goalies pads into the net if the goalie had control of the puck or not. Either team winning was fine by me but then again, Michigan didn’t challenge for goal tender interference after it was deemed a goal either.

Even less so a matter of goalie interference and more so a matter of the whistle being blown before the puck crosses the line.

the third goal by msu was horse shit. anyone who watched the game live saw the overhead review and the ref’s whistle before the puck crossed the line. as a michigan fan congrats to msu though they got the job done. the rivalry is back to where it once was. maybe we meet again in the frozen four depending on the bracket.

Pretty easy to lose when you get screwed on TWO goals. Congrats to the home towners.

Refs gave Sparty a goal and took a goal away from UM. Officials impacted the game. Home cooking biased referees at the Munn. Hope UM gets more competent refs in the Frozen Four and not Spartan ones.

@imronburgundy69..Michigan state in 2007 I believe. But it was in the CCHA. Big 10 didn’t have hockey until 2014

REFS GAVE THIS GAME TO MSU. TOOK AWAY A LEGIT MICHIGAN GOAL AND GAVE MSU A GOAL AFTER THE WHISTLE SOUNDED AND A MSU PLAYER SMACKED THE GOALIES PADS INTO THE NET WHICH LOOSENED THE PUCK AFTER THE WHISTLE ! MICHIGAN REALLY WON THIS GAME 5-3. 3-PEAT !!

It's amazing they can show so many replays and you can confidently say something so clearly wrong. The Michigan goalie caught the puck between his skates, then literally pushed the puck in by himself for a reason I still don't understand. All he had to do was stay still and it would have been safely under him. There was no State player anywhere nearby at that point, and when a State player does get there, he clearly hits the loose puck even further past the line, simultaneous with the whistle. Could it have gone either way? Sure. But to be so arrogant that you pretend like your team won is Pure Michigan.
