Michelle Leclair Shares Her Story Of Leaving Scientology | Megyn Kelly TODAY

Michelle LeClair, former scientologist and author of “Perfectly Clear,” shares her story of leaving the church after having been a member since 1989. In her book, LeClair claims that government investigations into her and her business partner were instigated by the Church of Scientology, a claim the church, as well as an official for the California Dept. of Business Oversight denies.

Amen, the sad thing is..is that this woman is trying to gain the world and will lose her sou if she doesn't repent. I wasnt a believer until 2 yrs ago when God drew me. Nobody told me, wasn't seeking..didn't go to church. I was convicted and didnt know why. My fiancee I'd lived with for 8 yrs and I could no longer be close at all.. even still.. we both feel it. We have to hug like there's a beachball between us. I thought we just had to marry and studied and prayed about it. Everyone told us it was fine but God didn't let me believe it and answered me 9 months into praying when I could receive it and understand. He was very gentle but clear. He still speaks sentences today to people. As much as I had tried to find a loophole there wasn't one. The only allowance for dating or marriage after a one covenant marriage already is death(Romans 7) and he was divorced with a living ex. We had to split up. God still sees this woman as married and Luke 16:18 and 1 Cor. 6:9-11 is clear that adulterers won't inherit the Kingdom.

@just Bfree The herd mentality is part of it. Many entertainers get into it because they hope it will give them connections in the industry. Then there are others, like Leah Remini, who are indoctrinated into Scientology as children. I'm glad people are exposing Scientology but they aren't all innocent victims. This woman being interviewed seems pretty shady herself. The state came after her (two separate agencies) for bilking a bunch of investors out of their money in a Ponzi scheme not because Scientologists made them go after her but because she is a scammer. Her partner in crime, who she agreed to testify against, is still is a Scientologist. She's leaving a lot out and making herself look like a victim.

  • @mendagy

@just Bfree I sure hope you are only referring to Scientology - which is NOT a Church, by the way. True churches are places of acceptance, kindness, respect & loving support; in no way, shape or form do any of them think or act like they are "better than everyone else", as you said. They are there to support you in times of need, celebrate good things with you & join you in simple fellowship. That's it. No tricks, no deception. Just honest, open love for fellow man. I'm so sorry if you have experienced something else.

Truth Teller that’s a bit weird. Although I left the JW’s a long time ago, when I was a kid I went with my dad at door to door and a woman had a priest with her. My dad end up talking with the priest with a bible. After awhile the priest said “that’s in your bible” and my dad close the bible and said “this bible is yours” the priest freaked out. I left but not because they don’t know the bible, they follow the bible more than anyone else, that’s why it’s a nightmare.

You are 100% right. Sci is a cult but so is Christianity, LDS, Judaism, Islam, Hindu, Buddism etc. etc. All cults with very minimal differences really. Everyone thinks everyone elses religion is fake but their's is the only real one. Seriously. No religion can prove one scintilla of what it believes and demands of its parishoners. People love their religion but don't lose sight they are all a scam. Funny side note. I was in a Marriot hotel. JW Marriott was a Morman so the hotels have the Book of Morman. They may also have the KJV Bible. I looked inside the Book of Morman this week in the Fairfiled Suites. Some fine Christian wrote "Liers" inside the Book or Morman spelled just that way.

@@mirandab3963 'Suppressive person'? I have no idea what you mean Miranda. It sounds like new age gobbledegook to me. I simply know that the ways of Scientology are ancient and help a person to harness inner power - you should see me smash boards with my feet and hands.

Gal Fleming Why are you watching this if she is weaker than you? Trolling the interviews of former members who trash your faith sounds weaker to me than what Michele is saying.

@@galfleming6770 and history proved the profanity of all these ancient wisdoms, right…? Lol! Look at the condition this world is in… for ages already. So much for ancient teachings. 🥹🤓😏

So what does Scientology have on Tom Cruise that keeps him smiling about it like a mad man ?

Nothing! In reality, they have nothing on him. He's treated like a king within the "church," and he stays for that royal treatment.

It takes a certain kind of person to join a cult and then stay within it. I also agree with the above comment that part of crazy Tom staying is that he is literally treated like the king of the cult.

Money and power, protect money and power. Regardless of who they are. That's why the powers that be, haven't shut them down. No they don't pay tax, but people are being paid.

“we haven’t been able to verify these claims of abuse” why does that matter in that moment? how disrespectful to say that right in front of her face. it’s interesting content, but it’s sad how her and her story were treated, especially the campbell’s soup cans comment. as ridiculous as it may sound to someone in different circumstances, it’s what happened to her, and the tone of the whole interview just comes off extremely disrespectful.
