Actually, she's not a "one hit wonder". "Goodbye To You", "All You Wanted", "Everywhere", "Breathe" and "Game of Love" with Santana were all VERY big songs of hers. Not to mention "Leave the Pieces" by The Wreckers, which is her and Jessica Harp. You should look them up, they're great songs!

I never understood the ending to this song. "I've had all that I can take, I'm not about to break 'cause I'm happy now." To me the theme of the song (the words and the anguished delivery) is a person in turmoil because her loved one left her and moved on, seemingly forgetting her, erasing her from his life. I've always felt that the anguish would have been best captured by the feeling that many of us have felt at one time--"I've had all that I can take, now I'm about to break 'cause you're happy now."

I used to listen to this song when i was little, and then cassadee pope covered it, and i remembered how much i loved it! :)

thizznationification I'm sure you have protective walls up where you didn't used to, but, and I am not trying to be rude here at all, if you were really as tough as you say, you would not be wearing your heart on you sleeve by typing for all to read, perhaps even the one who hurt you, that he ever hurt you at all. I'm sorry this happened to you and I am not trying to insult you so please don't take this the wrong way or think I am just politely trying to tell you to "shut up" because I am not. It's just bearing your wounds for all to see kind of defeats the purpose of being tough if people can see you being vulnerable, posting a comment toward your tormentor as if you depended on a response. Do you expect an apology? You won't get one, not from him. Find a real man, the pain you feel won't go away, but it will get better, eventually you won't think about it much any more when you have someone else who really cares for you. I hope that happens for you.

Ah, and I agree with you you on multiple levels. However, I didn't mean the typical definition of sorts when it comes to the word "tough", to where you mask your emotions and nobody sees your vulnerable side. I am a human being with human emotions, very empathetic, and very in touch with my sensitive side. I am a survivor by many things in life and even though I do wear my heart on my sleeve I have gotten through a lot of hell with physical and emotional scars to match. Everyone has a backstory. When the person who directed their comment towards me saying "toughen up princess" I smirked and thought to myself, "if only you knew." My kindness and ability to be vulnerable is due to spending a large portion of my life painting a fake smile on my face while my innards were dieing away. Now that I have moved forward from those portions of my life, I now choose to live it in a different light. I am tough by nature because things that should have broken me years ago have not, and I am still standing. Granted, a little wobbly at times, but standing nevertheless. I don't expect an apology from the person I was commenting about, and it in no way was personally directed as if depending on a response. I, like many others, at times feel a sense of comfort in the anonymity of youtube to bear old feelings when they find songs that remind them of their past. That I am certainly guilty of. But, alas, I am human as was mentioned earlier. I do appreciate your kind words however and do realize it came from a place of goodness, not malice. Thank you for that.
