That's like Star Trek the next generation books. Knew about them, loved the TV series but never read the books. Now finally tried one and loved it because you get to experience the characters again and see what their life is like after the show. I've been going to charity shops looking for them all. Hit the jackpot in an Oxfam bookshop where someone had bought in loads so I bought them all. Still looking for more.

07:34 -- I am very glad you covered this. There is a wonderful ebook out there which I would highly recommend to fellow magicians for approaching practice. In it, the author discusses unconscious competence. He discusses eliminating all superfluous routines/tricks and just focusing on one move or entire routine for twenty days. He recommends either 20 minutes twice a day for 20 days or twenty repetitions twice a day for 20 days. I have applied this structure to two routines I have wanted to truly tackle--The sting, in particular. I will never forget what the unconscious competence felt like. I had reached an almost automaticity with the sting stack and was able to do it while fully conversing with spectators. It truly works but it takes desire and commitment to begin it. I'm long overdue for another practice haul at that wonderful routine. I should begin soon. 10:03-- I am so glad you said this! This has been my philosophy as well. It took me a year of practice before I was able to do the sting in front of an audience. What an adrenaline rush that first performance was!

The Godfather, The Autobiography of Malcom X, The five love languages but will most definitely read some of the ones that you mentioned that I don’t have. I remember watching this video when you first released it a couple of years ago Michael. I had read 3 books on this list but I wasn't ready for the video. I'm glad I came across it again today. I will now look into the other books you've mentioned. If I have permission to recommend a book to you, it's Bulldog Drummond by Sapper. He was the "James Bond" before James Bond was created.
