It took me a while to fully understand this routine in Close-Up Classics but once I did, I was glad I learned it. As you say in the book, this is truly a gem of a trick.

Just watching this performance had me sitting in my room alone saying "NO NO NO NO NO" in disbelief from that performance. Such a beautiful handling and misdirection. This makes me smile soooo much.

@@MichaelVincentMagicSorry! That was supposed to be in reply to someone who was performing a shell routine with miniature metal hats. But your stuff is beautiful too, Mike! I think I'll add to my routine Synergy and your wonderful handling of Out of Sight, Out of Mind. Might have to schedule another trip to London!

Another wonderful podcast, Mike. Congratulations. It's nice to hear Paul share his views on navigating life with autism/adhd. I have dealt with this and found magic a cathartic release to better understand and cope with the world. I look forward to the next one.

Not only is he a great magician, he is also a great entertainer and speaker , they are not mutually exclusive, does anyone know how these card manipulators can get a shuffled desk and take one glance at it and re shuffle it then deal whatever they like , they know exactly where the aces are, kings etc how the hell do they know where all the cards are, does anyone know

Another excellent conversation. Quick comment/question- Regarding Darwin Ortiz’ observation of intellectual intelligence and emotional intelligence. Something I heard Max Maven say in old interview comes to mind that I believe is an appropriate illustration. He used violence as an example. We see violence in an imaginary setting ( movies, Television, plays etc) all the time, so much so in fact that it makes hardly an impression anymore. But if you’ve ever witnessed violence in real life ( Mr. Maven recalled an event where he saw someone get sucker punched and suffer a broken jaw) the feeling never leaves you. The sounds , the smells, everything that happens you will remember or at least feel like you do. Because violence does exist so prolifically in entertainment and the news people will intellectualize it as if they understand it and are even prepared for it. However violence is real and when confronted with it most people are not able to understand it and are even astonished by it. Also, thank you for sharing these important conversations with us.🤜🫷
