@@marco69tits Same here. It's hard to enjoy something with an audience shrieking like they've been stabbed after every joke. I guess it's why SNL never made it to the UK, it's too much of a culture clash.

He mentions flying her to New York several times in his diaries; especially when he does his "around the world in 80 days" trip in 1988.

According to his diaries, he had to drag her away from the after party at around 4am. Awesome......

I've seen this before but didn't realise this really was his mother... Not until I just watched a clip with him being interviewed by Rob Brydon where he spoke about it quite warmly.. It really was his mother and it really was a treat for her 80th birthday

Such a heart melting moment. So much tenderness, so much love between the two. I hope Mrs Palin was proud of her son
