Actors James Jude Courtney, who played Michael Myers, and Tom Morga, who played Jason in Friday the 13th: A New Beginning, gave a panel at Steel City Con August 2021 to discuss these franchises, their careers and to answer fan questions.
James Jude Courtney was Michael Myers, aka The Shape, in the 2018 Halloween movie. He has also appeared in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Far and Away, The Hit List, Knots Landing and Babylon 5.
Tom Morga was Jason Voorhes in Friday the 13th: A New Beginning, but has also appeared in many Star Trek films, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Voyager. Other credits include actually playing Michael Myers in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, Leatherface in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, Hart to Hart and Dallas.

James Jude Courtney completely owned the role of Michael Myers. He is the epitome of what Michael should be I don't think of any predecessor before him. He's these best. Hands down
I met James Jude Courtney today at Midsummer Scream and I can say he was one of the nicest people I've met. I've met(and worked) a lot of celebs and have always been whatever, but meeting James was so cool. I am a HUGE Michael Myers fan so I was a bit star struck.

Awesome to hear that ... I met him twice both times he was so nice and respectful . Makes you feel comfortable like 'hey' it's no big no deal I'm human . Ditto huge Myers fan . ✌🏼
Would be awesome to see Michael vs Jason happen one day on the big screen

Normalement michael vs jason été prévu depuis longtemps, je pense que c'était prévu 1ans après freddy vs jason en 2004, mais j'ai jamais compris pourquoi ils l'on jamais fait j'espère un jour mais je pense pas puisque michael myers est mort dans halloween ends

They had talked about doing Michael Myers versus pinhead from hellraiser but it never came to be
That girl who asked about Freddy must've been there with her bf who was the actual fan. God I really hope that was the scenario. Shit almost ruined my day 🤣

So many people played Myers in 78 James does the stunts him walking out of that burning house posted up on the top of the porch twisting that halligan tool nothing will ever beat that . Halloween Kills Micheal was on nxt level octane.

That would of been so cool that they started fighting each other on stage. James is brilliant ! I do like Friday the 13th however going team Halloween on this one! Both sweethearts but you can see James and Michael in their face. I do agree Friday the 13th part 5 was one of the best of the series.

In Halloween 4, Tom Morga played M.Myers for the first 1\4 of movie.
These dudes have incredible chemistry despite the quiet audience! Love it, who woulda thought!

I don't know if anyone has pointed this out but the other thing both have in common aside from being Silent Kilers who wear a mask... the year that Jason Voorhees drowned at Camp Crystal Lake, is the same year that Michael Myers was born just a month a part from each other. Jason Voorhees: Died September 13, 1957 Michael Myers: Born October 19, 1957

That’s a weird choice for this panel.. didn’t Tom play Jason in the one where it wasn’t actually Jason doing the murders ? And also played Michael Myers for a few scenes in 4. That’s just a really odd choice for a Michael vs Jason panel

The Con actually titled this "The Killers Panel" but we gave it the new title as it sounded better. And those were the actors they had available.
Ted White and Duck Warlock should get together and do one of these!
