the one scene from the original 1978 halloween movie that even today this day still makes me jump and scares me. is that car scene in the garage where annie goes to it. tries to open the door. realises its locked. so she goes back to get her car keys.. then when she gets back to the car.. she forgets to put the keys into the car door and instead just opens it up.. gets in.. then notices all of her car windows covered in condensation and then bam.. out of nowhere michael appears in the back grabs and holds her then cuts her neck. that scene even now still makes me jump. even though i have watched the movie at least probably 10 - 15 times and youd think id know when to expect it but no matter how many times i watch it and see that scene.. i always jump... oh and then there is the scene where he appears from behind the couch and laurie stabs something in his neck.. those two scenes without fail make me jump every time.

Big big fan of Michael Myers he is forever 👑🎃
I've always like the way Nick Castle conducts himself in these Halloween interviews. Always humble and totally lacks that "self importance" that many people who have contributed to pop culture display. He totally gets the reaction fans of Halloween have towards him but doesn't act like he cured cancer or anything. Very genuine guy.
I met Nick at a horror convention. He was the last Michael Myers actor to sign my mask, I just need Jamie Lee and John Carpenter to sign it now 🎃🔪

Meeting Nick Castle is absolutely one of the highlights of my life.. I was so unbelievably excited and nervous so yes it's a huge part of our life..I first saw Halloween in 1981 and I've never stopped.. Much love Mr. Castle!! So glad you are a part of this legacy. Youll never be forgotten.
I like how they included Nick who was the original SHAPE from the original 1978 John Carpenter’s Halloween to return as THE SHAPE again in the new trilogy reprising the roll again. That’s cause John, Tommy and Nick are still good friends even though their careers over the years went separate ways. They were once THE COUPE DE VILLES a musical group too. That’s EPIC!!

Yes it's cool that he's back and involved, but 75% of the scenes for Michael Myers are played by the stuntman James Jude-Courtney. To be fair, he does a rather good impersonation of Nick Castle's 1978 "The Shape".

You can’t have a Halloween without Nick Castle( who is my favourite all time Micheal Myers. He did a great job portraying Micheal in 1978, alongside Tony Moran). John Carpenter/ Debra Hill…. Can’t beat that combo. Absolute geniuses!!!!! And best horror movie soundtrack ever!!!!!

The first and best Michael Myers The Shape Nick Castle! What a cool and down to earth guy.
No one, and I mean NO ONE else who ever played Michael didn't quite got the dark vibe down the way Nick did. He practically invented this character.
Come to think of it, the whole head-tilt thing is kinda the only peek we ever get into what's going on inside of this person's mind. More so than we ever get from the mask itself coming off (of either adult or kid Michael). The only time we get to see him expending the slightest bit of energy for something other than terrorizing and killing the next victim. The only time he ever just stops and takes a moment for himself. In a very strange way, it's the most humanizing thing he ever does.
@ceeleewal1257
2 жыл бұрын
How true that is can be the most bothersome aspect of The Shape given the fact that for most of the film he's barren of emotion but for a split second it seems as if he's either annoyed at the current situation or he'd retreated inside his mind in search of a new form of my punishment to exact.
@michaelking4150

i have to disagree, he is looking at Bob like my dog looks at something he has never seen before. He is looking at him like ohhhh that's interesting look what i did, i get what you're saying but imo there is nothing human about that head tilt it's more of an animal instinct.

Halloween,the original was the first scary movie I saw as a kid. Michael Meyers is still to me the scarist of the crazies out there! Maybe because I grew up in Illinois, I don't know. I'm a 56 year old woman and on Halloween night, I return to my childhood and am scared to death of the holiday because of a guy named Nick Castle. If you showed up on my door step dressed as Michael, I'd probably, seriously die of fright! I'm not even half joking!

Great Questions! These are the types of things I wonder about. Super Fans Know all the Trivia already. Awesome Interview!😎👍
The BEST Michael MYERS ever!
I saw the original when I was 10 years old...scared the shit out of me...never really babysat for anyone because of this movie..LOL...I am now 53 years old and the original still scares the shit out of me, spends days after watching jumping at things that go bump in the night...most iconic scene was when Laurie was standing in the doorway, dark room behind her and all of a sudden you see his mask come into view....as in Kills...all of a sudden standing behind Lindsey's car.....that's what makes Michael the best horror movie killer!!! BTW....you can't kill Michael...true pure evil never dies!!!!!
Watched this in the theater when I was 10 yrs old! I have never been quite the same! It literallly stayed in my subconscious all of these years. It's an absolute ritual to watch this every October multiple times during that month. Nick Castle was absolutely phenomenal! The bedroom scene with Laurie when he randomly sits up and turns his head to look at her whilst keeping his body straight is a "masterpiece moment". #Halloween1978
What a great interview, Nick Castle is just such a great person & your questions & just being a pure fan was great to see. Absolute fantastic all around, keep up the great work!

What a great guy! You often find actors and directors who create horror icons are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Wes Craven, Gunnar Hansen, Anthony Perkins, Kathy Bates, Nick Castle, Tobe Hooper - they’re all so friendly!
I like Halloween 1978, and it does make me nostalgic, bc I was very young then (18). It was so much fun, not having a care in the world, and sitting in a dark theater eating popcorn & watching Nick Castle (not knowing who Nick Castle was🎃.) I saw Halloween when I was around 10 years old. 1st horror movie. My uncle was the first one in our family to own a VCR and he brought it over. By the end of it, I was watching it through my hands. Also, much to my dismay, the doors on my bedroom closet were exactly like the kind Jamie Lee Curtis found herself in at the end of the movie.
Been watching this franchise's movies since 1978, and still watching in 2021. Happy Halloween 2021 everyone!
