As an Australian, I reckon Michael McIntyre does a better stereotypical, broad Australian accent than some of the locals here could pull off, including myself. If I wasn't watching, I'd assume that someone else had got up on stage to join him because it was that believable - zero telltale flaws. Dad is South African - now that one had a little comic licence thrown in. That accent has evolved too over time based on mingling with Afrikaans and will also moderate based upon parentage and regional influences. Most British South Africans used to speak RP English. Elon Musk is probably a better known example of someone with a milder variation of the accent. Broadcasters in Australia also used to speak with the RP English accent up until around the late 60s, as it denoted a higher social class, to which everyone in the British Empire was expected to aspire to.
Michael is so talented ! Never can get bored of his comedy

Thanks for another McIntyre guys much appreciated.

I simply adore your reaction clips. Jodie cracks me up with her reaction faces and Nick makes me LOL when he laughs at funny funny stuff. The two of you are so much frikken fun to watch. Thank you both, From Dougie in the South West (Somerset) in England.
'I was pulling it off!' Made me laugh.
Without even being there i just know you weren't pulling that accent off.😂
I live in Wolverhampton not too far from birmingham and I say summut for something.
Enjoyed that one guys!
The South African accent. I met a South African woman who introduced herself as “Mirry” as in “Mirry had a little lamb”. It then clicked that her name was Mary.
There was a theory that the Australian accent comes from the earlist convicts. The ships took prisoners from London, then took on more at Bristol. The mix of the two accents was the basis for new one.
Incredible comedic storyteller
We have front row tickets for his stand-up show in a few weeks, can't wait

Aussie in the US 30-some years… there’s not a day that goes by that someone wants to know where I’m from, and will get it wrong 80% of the time. I don’t care anymore that people think I’m from the UK… ‘cos I’ve run out of space to bury the bodies. 😂

lol major headphone issues, yeah right, that was surely an edit cut of 15 minutes of Nick doing his very best accents and movie phrases in accents (I bet there was even an Arnie in there somewhere too!). Hey, I want to see the uncut version of this! lol :D Great stuff thanks!

Youre fine until youve had a few pints. The Newcastle fams in the pubs before an arsenal game were always really friendly and a good laugh. But completely illegible after large quantities of alcohol.
One of my delivery drivers where I used to work had a Yorkshire accent & it used to makes us laugh how he says "it's in the back of the van" because he says it as "it's in back 'ut van" 😂 I also had an encounter with a truck driver from Leeds who asked if he could borrow a ladder for a few seconds. He said to me "Hey, Lad. Is it alright if I just borrow this ladder? I'm only going 'tut cab in it" That the first time I've ever heard a northerner legit use the word 'tut 😂
In Yorkshire the letter 'T' or 't' for the word 'the' is more of a glottal stop - sort of implied but not pronounced. You don't say "ter lion, ter witch and ter wardrobe." You would say "lion't, witch and't wardrobe." It's more glottal, almost like an "n". Non-native Yorkshire speakers always pronounce "the" as a very pronounced "ter", when trying to effect a Yorkshire accent, and we hallowed, godlike Yorkshire folk would never say "the" as "ter".

One comedian who does know how to do the Black Country accent (despite being from over the border in Birmingham) is Joe Lycett. The man who doesn't sound like a Brummie whatsoever gets the Black Country spot on. Disclaimer: I am from Dudley in the Black Country, aka Lenny Henry Land. Frank Skinner is probably the closest in terms of his actual speaking voice, but then he did grow up in Oldbury (between Dudley and Birmingham)

My Mrs is from up North and if she for example purchased a boat she would say Abort Abort, now most would think she is saying get the hell out of here :) The Black country is the only place in the world I could go and the people thought I was posh, with Yow Dow half talk posh Yow Dow lol. As a Brummie Peaky Blinders did us no favours as all the actors do a Black Country accent and not a Birmingham one which is so different. Regional dialect is so fascinating.@@TheAuburnEnigma

Sad to see CFA go on hiatus, but I understand Gabe's depression at not hearing from me for a while.
As an Aussie - the accent works in the US, no one cares in the UK though. When I first went to the US I had an awesome road trip up the Pacific coast and got treated so nicely.
According to KZread subtitles you are doing P⁰řñ reviews lol

Yes although there are several accents in the North East. Newcastle and Sunderland and Middlesbrough have their own accents. Even five miles can make a difference.
The one stereotypical accent I come across (at least once on a weekly basis) is an American doing the British…sorry “Bri’ish” accent. Which makes me laugh as I’m half Scottish, and that overpowers my English twang more so. 😂

He did consentrate on the North and west of the UK, a little racist. He didn't mention the problems in the south of all the missing T. Perhaps we rescued them, thing becomes fing , thought becomes fort. I find it really annoying the Yorkshire accent comes from Norse. The number of southerners living in Yorkshire has risen and affected the local dialect. He didn't mention can walk a few miles and accents change. The accent for Leeds was wrong it's generally flat vowels and the T is present go down the road and it changes once more. I love accents it's what makes us, us. It's funny when he had a go at beautiful Cornwall the number of southerners who own second homes there, has created a housing shortage for locals. My partner is from Virginia but after 20yrs here speaks like he was educated at Eton.
Tbh the sound is not great on video .
His geordie accent was awful
In reality, there are almost 40 different dialects in the UK that sound totally different from each other, and in many cases use different spellings and word structure. In fact, there's pretty much one accent per county.
