What the fuck is Lombardi talking about? Fields 5th year option right now would be $23 million. They are paying him $6million if the keep him in 2024 and if they pick up his 5th year option to play in 2025 they have to sign him by May of this year and it will be for $23 million. Lombardi talking about paying him $40 million? They can keep Fields for $29 million total between 2024 and 2025 season. That's just under $15 million a year, which is well below average QB pay for veterans. Now if he's talking about a long term contract for Fields, I still don't see how you justify $40 million a year. Either way, the Bears have 2 more years of under the league average contract for a QB and can vastly improve the whole roster trading the #1

Look at the 49ers, they have been knocking on the door for years and still can’t get a Super Bowl victory. Look at teams with elite QBs like Buffalo and Baltimore, they can’t get to a Super Bowl. Poor Davis Mills was throwing to the 50% catch rate Collins. It is just bad luck he didn't get this one. It is also just so amazing that a rookie 5th rounder, rookie 2nd rounder, and second year 4th rounder just so happened to help lift a first time starting QB to 4100 yards and a playoff win. It is the WRs elevating the QBs, not the other way around. Sure. It is right up there with the Bears sack rate doubling when Fields is taking snaps as opposed to any of the others from the past three years. Some QBs just have all the luck.

Didnt Caleb Williams grt sacked 83 times in his 3 year college Career?? And he played against a much lower competition.. I am still reeling from how mentally behind so many people are. The entire locker room already said they want Justin back and they have heard even if its wrong that Williams doesnt want to play for them but we are going to ignore that... Dont these guys play harder for the guys who are better leaders?? If Williams only wins 4 or 5 game this season do you expect in anyway that the coaching staff keeps their job?? So throw Caleb in the same situation like Mitch, and Justin in a locker room that isnt really feeling him. If I were his agent I will do everything to avoid destroying my clients chances of ever getting a 2nd contract because this is a career killing move

What are they supposed to say? No we hate him, he isn't a good passer, he is the worst rated qb in the 4th quarter when the game is on the line, in 38 games he had 1 (One) game winning or tying drive. Are you kidding me? No one is going to push their own team mate under the bus! Caleb is a great QB decent athlete, Justin is a below average nfl QB excellent athlete. I'll take the great QB every day of the week and twice on Sunday!

  • @attilasuto6013

@@k-sizzlereacts4896 Reading comprehension is a skill that you haven't mastered yet! I never said that Caleb is a great NFL QB. Read and try to understand my previous statement again. Then apologize for your lack of reading comprehension skills. You want to compare Justin's college stats with Caleb's. By all means let's do that. You seem to forget that Justin had 4 first round draft choice wide receivers at Ohio State, and a stacked oline that gave him time to throw, this year Caleb's team has 2 projected third round picks, one is a defensive back, the other is Jerry Rice's son at receiver. That's it, the rest of the team sucked, they might have a few more late round picks, nothing more. So there is no apples to apples comparison no matter how you slice it! The only thing I can tell you is when Caleb had 1 decent receiver and still a crappy defense and oline he won the Heisman. That receiver is now in Minnesota picked in the first round. The fact that Justin is the worst rated QB in the 4th quarter in every category in the NFL can not be ignored, not even by a Justin Fields' maniac blinded fan like you. (He won 5 games out of 13, what an achievement) 61% completion rate, can't anticipate, can't read zone defense, can't throw short to intermediate throws in the middle of the field, long delivery motion, slow drop back, doesn't have touch passes. We would be lucky to get a second round pick for him. Our division 2 undrafted rookie free agent went 2 and 2 with the same players. Haha.
