Mike Landon sure knew how to tell a story. His shows are timeless and of such high quality. An example of what television should be, but so rarely is. What a shame that he died so young. Imagine all the subsequent quality work he could have (and no doubt would have) produced for the public. Our loss. But how lucky we are as viewers for all the great stories he left behind.

Ahh, me too! My father passed away Jan. 1987. Little house was on Mondays at 7:30, had to have my homework done etc. My dad , myself and my grandmother would sit and watch the show together. My gram had a beautiful smile on her face practically throughout the whole hour. Afterward Dad would carry me over his shoulder to bed and we would talk about Laura. Cherish those memories.

I will always remember the story about a very painful period on Michael Landon's real life in the movie "The Loneliest Runner" Parental ignorance can damage a child for life. Michael Landon overcame the pain and went on to use it in the positive works he created. RIP Dear Michael, you are missed in this world.

Michael Landon's adopted son Mark died in 2009 in my opinion his adopted son was young enough to be his brother because Micheal Landon was born in 1936 and Mark was born in 1948 he adopted Mark in 1956 so that means he was 20 while Mark was 7

Landons' first marriage was very strange- to a much older woman. Landon was looking for a mommy figure. Some of Michaels' kids are gay. He also adopted yet another child with his first wife, and then left her in the middle of the adoption process. Fishy story.

I wish there were somwhone out there who did come back to earth to put the worlds to right. there was an episone on not long ago with neo Nazi theme. it was very upsetting to watch prejudice and its practices. it had a good ending , but I wish in todays climated with the elepo crisis common sence would prevail. pamxx

I remember Shawna was on an episode of LHTOP when Laura writes a book, it wins, but then they change it around, and Laura pulls out of the deal, At the end of the story, it fast forwards to 1982 and Shawna is running to a library in Santa Monica or Malibu and pulls the real Laura's book of the shelf

What a shame Landon chose to smoke 4 packs of cigarettes every day and a jug of booze. He was even smoking on LHOTP with that stupid pipe. On set he was smoking non-stop and drinking shots of hard liquor every day. He died so young (Melissa Gilbert is older right now that Landon even lived!). What a disgusting habit! 9 kids! Why did he just not one day decide to stop!

Media Memories Thank you for trying. Maybe if you did it by small sections, and labeled it differently, like Little House memories. I tell ya, I can’t imagine a documentary from 1991 that is only available on VHS to buy would be blocked when so many other things are allowed. Seems ridiculous. There are a couple of scenes I loved to see from the Little House section. My family owned the VHS, and it was one of my favorite things to watch. I would gladly just buy it, but I haven’t found it except on VHS, and who has a VHS player now?
