I’ve come here after hearing the news about Kirby Morrow. There isn’t much to say, except thank you and rest in peace easily. October 29th (Day of the departed in 2021) is gonna hit us all really hard. 😔 My thoughts go out to his family.

I see I'm not the only one who came here after the news. I still can't really believe it. But he will be remembered. He's left behind a legacy, and that legacy will endure. Rest in peace, Kirby Morrow. You were, and will continue to be, an inspiration.

Ninjago's music is unbelievably underrated, it is really the best TV show music I've ever heard

After hearing about Kirby Morrow, this brings tears to my eyes. He was truly a remarkable person and completely irreplaceable, taken from us right before Ninjago's tenth anniversary. He will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, Kirby, you are loved by us all.

Wow . . . this has got to be one of the most beautiful Ninjago pieces I've heard. The first part was familiar, but when those strings, flutes, and heavenly choral parts came on, I was blown away. Dude, keep doing what you're doing, because you've got some serious talent. I can't wait to hear more of your music.

I’m starting a new tradition. Every year on November 1, I will rewatch “Ninjago: Day of the Departed” in memory of Kirby Morrow. November 1 was chosen as it’s Día de los Muertos and the holiday in the special has a similar concept.

@@NameTaag0019 I agree. I think that Day of the Departed is over-hated by Ninjago fans. It's not perfect, but it also isn't awful by any means.

I learned of Kirby Morrow's passing today and was reminded of this song. Kirby was a talented voice actor who filled what could be considered a dull character with life and heart. And though he may be departed he will live on forever in our memories and hearts. Rest easy, and rest well.

I really love how perfectly this piece connects with Ninjago. While it has a little action the soft melodic parts start to stand out. This piece emotionally describe the legacy of the famed home of the First Spinjitzu Master: Ninjago. Just hearing this makes me picture a beautiful Japanese garden with cherry trees and cherry blossoms just floating across the air. When my friends tell me why I love watching a childish show all the time, I show them this. And this makes them cry. Outstanding job! Love the effort! Your musical talent is always honored and respected in my heart!

Probably because the ninja were separated and each one of them was alone. That’s the main reason why dotd isn’t my favorite

Not just that. Other complaints I’ve heard include the past villains being defeated rather quickly, Yang being labeled as a “bland, non-relatable” villain, Cole getting his Earth Punch powers “suddenly”, et cetera. I’m not going to label it as good or bad, but I will say I find “Day of the Departed” to be a criminally underrated special in the “Ninjago” fandom.

Michael Kramer, please, release the soundtrack that played in episode 65, when Wu fought with Acronix. It also played during the battle of Kai and Krux in 67 episode, and after the betrayal of the Hands of Time over a Boiling sea in 73.

RIP Mr. Kirby Morrow(1973~18th November 2021) RIP Jake Pennar : The 9 years old boy who has become a character model of “Jake” in Ninjago season 11. (2012?~ 22nd January in 2021, dead by cancer)

@@NameTaag0019 One, I really don't like the characterization in IDW. I like Silver, Blaze, and Eggman and Omega are okay, but everyone else is either boring or annoying (or both). Two, it focuses way too much on OCS. Archie may have focused a lot on original characters, but it also focused just as much on the game characters. Three, the comic continually switches artists, and I really don't like the art. Finally, IDW feels so soulless, yet it feels like people worship it. I (and many others) have been bullied for disliking IDW and liking Archie.
