@@jilleuh the theme for taming the wind dragon and finding the dragon armour in hunted is one of my favourites but every season has great music despite the quality of the show wich is pretty damn inconsistent

honestly true, but season 9 somehow topped season 8s soundtrack in every way possible

Lloyd finding out who Harumi really was and how she reveals everything including her true intentions is really such a great scene to show betrayal and Harumi uses her hatred for her own evil plans for revenge and tries to kill Lloyd during their conversation

Harumi is truly Ninjago's most darkest villain. She was so broken by her parents death that it turned her into something she probally wasn't. All it takes is one bad day.

This is what makes me feel bad for her honestly bc had she gotten the proper help she needed to cope with her trauma, she probably wouldn’t have gone down a dark path and wouldn’t view lloyd and the ninja in a hateful manner.

​@@Leavce exactly! And it pains me how people say she is irredeemable and soulless. She is what Lloyd could have become if he wasn't taken in by the ninja and Wu, and while yes, she did bad things and should have some punishment for them, she isn't irredeemable just because of a bad coin flip (especially since the nature of this bad coin flip might be similar to that of Garmadon).

@@Dawid23_Gamer ppl who say harumi is pure evil yet go and support morro’s redemption (who is a mass murderer btw, he committed many atrocities after he left Wu which is why he was in the cursed realm in the first place) should not be trusted. And i dont think morro is pure evil either, hes like the ninjago version of tai lung to me, whos one of my fav villains due to his backstory.

This season’s score is fantastic! Along with Season 9, I’d say it’s my favorite of the series. So glad that Jay Vincent released these! Hope we’ll be seeing more soon!

Don't forget the phenomenal scores that S10 brought too! I would go as far as to say S10 has the best score in the entire show

I left another, longer comment that explains my thoughts in more detail but let me just get say something short and sweet here: This particular music and the track that comes before are the best ever made in Ninjago. It's sets the bar so high that it needs to be recognized outside of just Ninjago. It ranks among the best music ever made for TV animation. Bravo Jay and Micheal, bravo! Thank you so much for putting so much work into this piece because it is simply an honor just to hear it!

I agree, I think the mickeymousing Jay and Michael do here (where they sync the score closely with the character's movements), and the way they match the score with the emotions we're seeing and feeling, is amazing. You really get the full evolution of Harumi's theme in this track. Always a pleasure General Kenobi, thanks for your thoughts!

Thank you so much for putting this on KZread and even more for explaining the music in the description! I knew I could hear this song alluding to older music but I couldn't place what those songs were or what they symbolized! The same goes for all the ways the song transforms throughout! I don't have the musical training to catch them but it's a good thing you do and can convey those details to us! All this really goes to show how excellent Jay Vincent and Michael Kramer are! They do things with the music I see done in movies and it's one of many reasons I think Ninjago is an animated show on another tier from most other animated shows! But as much as I like this track, it's still not my favorite track in the entire show! The music I really wanted to hear the most come right before this, when Lloyd actually figures out that Harumi is the Quiet One. I can't exactly describe it, but the music almost makes it sound like the gears in Lloyd's head are turning. You can hear Harumi's theme playing when she's pretending to be sweet to Lloyd, but then is sounds ominous as Lloyd pieces truth together. And it's weird to say, but that music almost sounds quiet, like twinkling stars, as Harumi tries to lie her way to innocence. And it also makes me sad, because as messed up as Harumi is, I know she went through a lot pain. It's just a tragedy that she let that pain turn her into monster. I really hope they upload that piece, because Ninjago music is not complete without it! It also serves as a prelude to this fight and make the music in this scene that much better! All I can do is hope, and if it is finally released on day then my Ninjago-music-seeking-ears can finally rest! I'm begging you Jay and Micheal! I've waited 2 years (wow it's been a long time!) and I can't wait any longer!

Please email this to Jay Vincent and Michael Kramer! I'm sure they'd love to hear all this. I'd also love to hear the track before this one too, unfortunately it's still unreleased. Spot on though that track is masterful too. Hopefully Jay will release more!

It never ceases to amaze me how much effort goes into the music in Ninjago. This piece was absolutely perfect for its respective scene, and it fit so well. There's a reason Game of Masks is me and my little sister's favorite episode. (Well, another reason besides the story just being amazing.) Thank you so much for uploading!

Jeez soundtrack is so dark and creepy.

I totally never heard the Great Devourer's theme until you pointed it out.

That's Jay and Michael for ya, they're masters at sneaking in little motifs like that. Oftentimes you don't notice because you just know it's something they naturally do. :D

Obi-Wan Kenobi Always! One of the reasons I love Ninjago’s scores is that they have this giant series of themes and leitmotifs, like Star Wars - and Jay and Michael use it so effectively.

I've waited for this soundtrack for so long; I finally can't believe I can get to hear it!

This is one of the best soundtracks to date. And this track is two years old. Enough said.

Same! I almost forgot how great this track is.

I had been waiting for this music to release for years and now I finally found it with some help, I cannot thank you enough for this. Back when I was really into Ninjago I shipped Llorumi like there was no tomorrow and then when she betrayed him I was distraught and hated her so much for it. I eventually grew to understand her as a villain but I still didn’t like her again after what she did to Lloyd. Guys, it’s been like two and a half years since this season released and I’m still not over this. I probably need therapy XD Anyway I LOVE the OST in this season, def one of my favorites.

I’ve been waiting a while for this! It’s amazing!

This is so good with the dark in it, but my absolute favorite in season 8 was Lloyd vs Garmadon reborn( This doesn’t end now + Garmadon’s true potential) combined by you! ;)

You know.. now that I think about it, I don’t think anybody every offered Harumi any help. She certainly didn’t get what she needed at the palace and even after she shows her true colours she’s only seen as a villain and Lloyd’s biggest concern is her bringing his father back. By now I think the damage is done, I think if she had gotten more support when she was younger all of this could’ve been prevented. She didn’t know any better because nobody taught her any better. Lloyd tell her things like “this isn’t you” etc but that doesn’t help at all. I really like Harumi as a character, I think her arc was very clever. It’s very tragic, and everything about this betrayal was very well crafted. Also hers a cookie to anyone who read all this: 🍪

Lloyd finally got a girlfreind and she turns out to be a criminal. Harumi didn't even have to pretend she liked him to achieve her plans so she's just a monster

Man i really want the theme where Wu gets the dragon armour in Hunted, but im guessing kramer did that since its not on jays SC

RZ2000 Yeah that was probably Michael Kramer, unfortunately a large amount of the series’ score remains unreleased as Michael hasn’t posted anything in over a year and a half.

I love to listen to these tracks when I'm walking to my different classes and having you upload these exclusive tracks really means a lot to me as well as the Ninjago community. I don' remember if you take requests or not but if you do, can you upload the track of Lloyd fighting Garmadon from season 9 and the ninja fighting the Oni titan? Right from where Lloyd starts saying "I cannot fight you but I can resist you."

They got this soundtrack from I think Jay Vincent (more specifically the user with the name Seven Wheel sound which may or may not be Jay Vincent) who released a bunch of SoG soundtracks yesterday. Hopefully we'll get a bunch of Hunted soundtracks at some point, but the composers are the only ones that can release soundtracks at the moment, and even they are held back from releasing everything because of legal issues which is really frustrating. Raj Singh Hey Raj! Thank you so much, I’m glad the music means so much to you. Unfortunately I don’t take requests, but I also love that music (and the entire final battle music of “Green Destiny”). And yes, Jay Vincent has posted a bunch of new tracks on his SoundCloud, which is where I got this from. Sathasiless is right, there’s all these legal boundaries with officially releasing tracks and whatnot so it’s kind of held things up. But I also hope we’ll see more tracks in the near future!

This relationship between Lloyd and Harumi is very Toxic as this Arc started to progress.

Although I feel sad that she lost her biological parents, and I will have a hint of sympathy, but she was ungrateful to her adoptive father and mother, and deceived Lloyd’s feelings to achieve her own goals to do bad things, I will never forgive !
