    I remember this game. Jordan only shot more threes this game because he was bored and wanted to try something different since he wasn’t known to be a three point shooter. He worked on shooting threes all through practice before this game and it paid off.

Would you rather leave MJ wide open and shoot a three where his % was low, or commit to defending him and risk getting blown by him and allowing him an easy 2. Please dont show your basketball ignorance here

    Joseph Allen actually the Bulls were getting beat badly at first in this 1st Qt, then Jordan all sudden just caught fire. I remember Jordan at this point in time wasn't known for taking 3's. He basically set out to prove naysayers wrong that He could hit them, and I believe Drexler said "He's a better 3 point shooter". MJ took that as a diss LOL. Really Drexler only played great in this game like 4 minutes, than He was a non factor. Jordan stayed in front of Him, but Drexler couldn't hit anything once MJ caught fire.

    Allen Lafamilia Jordan at 40 yrs old was still one of the top 10 players averaging around 22 points, and at 39 still scored 50pts easily. Even Ron Artest and Paul Pierce said guarding Jordan even at that age was the hardest player they ever guarded. Also I'm I was born in the 70's so I actually got to see prime Jordan. I respect your opinion, but Jordan was something I never seen since. The only player that comes close to dominating a game like prime Jordan I've seen was Kobe. James doesn't have that killer instinct, mental fortitude, nor relentless will, competitiveness, etc. Right now, yes James does have it. Unfortunately He didn't always have it, and that's why He's not above Kobe in my eyes. People forget Jordan's quickness even post His prime in 96' was amazing. They won 72 games despite Rodman missing 10 games, & Jordan wasn't even in His prime. They won a 2nd 3PEAT, but let me explain their 1st championship run 1990 - 1993'. U said Jordan never had bums? The 1st 3PEAT Jordan's Bulls won had a cast and bench that was 90 percent non-all stars/non hall of famers. Craig Hodges, Bill Cartwright, Bobby Hansen, Cliff Levingston, Stacey King, BJ Armstrong, Daryl Walker, Pippen, Horace, Paxson. They won 3 in a row and sometimes I look back and say wow, cause Jordan was always the difference. Anyone acting like these caliber of players had more talent than Lebron's Cleveland teams or Miami Heat teams? Is on CrAck! Consider the fact the Eastern Conference in that era was "Concrete Jungle". It was filled with some legendary teams like Bird's Celtics, Bad Boy Pistons, & the Knicks. Back then there was no "first class ticket" to the Eastern Conference finals. Also the rules were different, thus no "Defensive 3 seconds", "Hand checking" was allowed, & "Trash talking" was fair game. Today's NBA doesn't reflect the "Reality of Street Ball", cause those physicality and mental elements of intimidation don't come to play. This NBA is "Prep School Ball", cause players like Curry and Lebron wouldn't have it so easy going to the basket. Players like Rodman would get in your head, & no Ref was going to stop Him. You could trash talk all you wanted, so mentally you would have to endure that aspect like in real life.

  • @SwaggerLikeUz

    @SwaggerLikeUz

    6 жыл бұрын

    Im_Trash all I know is back in the 90's there were more dominant centers. Unlike today's game there non existent and no ones of the caliber of a young prime Shaq, prime Hakeem, prime David Robinson, or prime Patrick Ewing. Also there was more 1st ballot Hall of famers like DR J, Kareem, Bird, Hakeem, Moses Malone, Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Shaq, Allen Iverson, Rodman, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Reggie Miller, Kevin Garrnet, Charles Barkley, Isiah Thomas, James Worthy, Ron Harper, Scottie Pippen, Patrick Ewing, etc. I love watching Lebron, but Jordan never choked on the big stage. Jordan never had a contemporary once the Bull's won a ring. Never! Lebron even with Wade had contemporaries challenging His greatness. Even when Jordan wasn't winning rings yet, He was always in the conversation with Magic and Bird. The legends saved the NBA. During Jordan's height in the 90's the NBA became to most watched sport, while during Lebron's tenor the NBA isn't America's most watched sport. I give Lebron madd props, but there's only one GOAT. 6/6 in the finals, never allowed a game 7, never allowed a contemporary to win the final's mvp, never jumped teams, highest career average, highest playoff average, etc. The only player to score 3000 points in a season like Wilt Chamberlain, the only player to have more scoring titles than Wilt. Jordan won defensive player of the year, MVP, All Star MVP, & Dunk champ in 1 season. He's the oldest player to score 50 plus points at 39 years old. That's how special this guy was, and James with all He's advantages has lost 5 times in the finals.

Jordan came back from playing a whole different sport and 3-peat. Dude wasn’t even in his prime anymore either lol. Jordan the 🐐 nuff said

    Seeing it in 92 was nuts. Threes off a fast break are mood killers. I saw Lebron do that live against the bulls. It was amazing seeing him (bron) shoot with no conscience. Jordan doing it in the finals was simply god like. Goat 🐐

  • @technum1
    @technum14 жыл бұрын

    People watch this thinking he was wide open for 5 and 6. The spectacular part is both 3s were coming off of a miss by blazers. The bulls were coming on offense and unexpectedly Jordan launched the 3s. Basically caught blazers off guard. Those two last 3s slam the door shut for that game. The greatest of Michael Jordan.

    Michael Jordan is a career 33 percent 3 point shooter. This is exactly how it would look if say Giannis suddenly canned 6 threes in a half. The defense was playing him for the drive, as they should. They dared him to make a shot that was probably the weakest point in his game and he broke the record for 3 pointers in a half at the time and had 35 points for the half. You see the same exact strategy against LeBron.

  • @nedaari1
    @nedaari15 жыл бұрын

    So much for those tough hand-checking defenses of the 90s. I grew up in the 90s but I call a apple and apple, and 5 of those 6 threes were wide open oceans. Steph, Lebron, James, Paul...would've all gone bananas on Portland's D.

    Bro that's because the game changed. Let's see them do this and do the rest of what Jordan did. Shooting all day with no resistance is easier than what Jordan went against. And Jordan didn't even like 3s. He didn't need them. If he did, he would develop his 3 point game and be a 40% 3 ot shooter along with everything else he did. That's how good Jordan was. If he wanted it, he'd become the best at it. He had no limits. They'd get demolished by this bulls team. I also don't see them doing this anyway
