Dedication lil Wayne just popped in the my head

Mike was on that next level of greatness. I grew up watching him as a teen and growing an appreciation for the game. My dad never watched basketball. Ever. Didn’t care for most sports in general. However, when Mike played, he sat and watched. I remember asking him why he was watching basketball when he didn’t care for it. He told me that sometimes a person comes along who is so great at something that you’re doing yourself a disservice by not paying attention. Sometimes a guy transcends the game itself. I’ll watch that. And he did. He never really watched sports except for Jordan, Mike Tyson, Wayne Gretzky, and Tiger Woods, and he still appreciated them work. Meanwhile, I couldn’t get enough of baseball, football, basketball or hockey.

I’m the same way as your dad. I can’t get into watching basketball but I like Michael Jordan. He was so good he drew people in that otherwise didn’t like basketball. A lot of people are like me and your dad.

He create work of art on the court. MJ and Valentino Rossi on motorsport was my two I had witnessed greatness. When a maestro out there doing his/her thing, it's just a magical show, and another great thing is it was free to watch on tv

There was only like 12 to 14 teams that existed when Russell played. If you were on a dominant team, you had a much better chance at winning for years because there was less competition. There were 25 to 27 teams when Jordan played. The chances of winning multiple championships, let alone back to back to back, was statistically much harder. You can't compare the 11 and to the 6. Its impossible. However, Jordan will always be my GOAT. Players feared him. Coaches feared him. He backed up everything he said. He brought basketball to the level it is today. The greatness extended far beyond just the scope of playing basketball, which i already think he was the best at. He was the one who made these shoe deals so lucrative. He changed the sport for everyone who plays the game today. There is nobody like him. Lebron is a testament to longevity and absolutely the GOAT of his generation, but MJ is the GOAT of GOATs. If the Hall Of Fame is Mount Olympus, then MJ is the Zeus that rules over all of them.

Magic, Jordan and Kobe, my favourite players of all time.

There's no debate possible about basketball and you in it MJ. You are the best ever and both your 3peat teams were the best!

Growing up in the 90s... It was a treat to watch MJ dominate...

Junior year high school. 96 Bulls were the most fun to watch. Was on the road for family trip when they lost at home for the first and only time that year. And NBA Live 96 first year was amazing on SNES, had to only enter Jordan’s name and you’d hear three beeps. First basketball game with full season play, trading, state tracking, and it was the first great game in my collection. Two years later in college got NBA Live 98 on PS1, took it beyond what I could even dream.
