Even an old Michael Jordan was better than most NBA players
How can people think that prime MJ wouldn't terrorize today's game when 40 yr-old Mike was serving these dudes like a drive-thru window in 2003??

Derek McFarland Which makes no sense because MJ was the best passing SG in NBA history.

Unbelievable court vision, Unbelievable scorer, footwork was always amazing, IQ was always off the charts and an UNBELIEVABLE defensive player for his ENTIRE career. The perfect player Michael Jeffery Jordan, aka...The G.O.A.T.
I was at this game. Michael Jordan at 40 made 25 year old Corey Maggette look like a JC player.

me too! 3 rd row courtside below the camera line, when i bought the ticket off ticketmaster my hands where shaking, couldn't believe it
Even though he's older, still gotta double team JORDAN!
The cherry on the cake to end the weekend. Can't believe this great perfomance was never before on KZread, appreciate it a lot. Jordan put on an amazing demonstration of dominance, class and authoriry on the court. Did it all! Facinating how he was able to do that with a bad shooting index finger, bad knees and at 40 y/o. Shooting 44%, which by today standars is great for a scorer and a star. Thanks a lot and keep them coming!
Also, in retrospect, how awesome and fun were the Wiz teams he constructed with all his old buds? Between Laetner and Oak and even fing Bryan Russell!! Each guy had a true story for being there.

Can't forget Stackhouse (lol) and Hubert Davis
To play like that at 40? Best ever, period !
omg. back in the day 1:34 woulda been a serious slam. Lucky Clippers.
Jesus ... chills when he fouled out
Thank you so much for posting these highlights. I was at this game. Two dreams of mine came true that day. I got to see MJ live...and I got to see him dunk!! I actually fell out of my seat haha. For those folks who weren't there, notice that the crowd cheers turned into roars at around 6:08? That's when they showed MJ's face on the big screen and the crowd went insane to show their appreciation! :)
standing O for the goat
Fouled out during an away game and received a standing ovation from the crowd, while the arena was playing 'hit the road jack'.
He gets a louder applause when he fouls out, then some starters in the nba now. NUTS
Damn, on that team was Charles Oakley, Patrick Ewing, Christian Laettner, Jerry Stackhouse. It's like he had all his buddies for one last hurrah.
The foot work, the shooting form, the move...omg we miss all of those!!!
This was right before he injured his knee that season.

blackadam06 no that was the season before. He didn't miss a game in the 02-03 season
That was really heady of Tyrone Lue, to reward MJ for the steal on that break. Normally you reward the big man for running, but I think because of MJ's D on the play, it was good to reward him. Good job coach Lue.

Everyone wants to see Jordan dunk. The odds of him getting the ball in any of those 3 positions on the break are 100%.
FACT #1: prior to his pre-All Star injury, a 39 yr old MJ was avg'n 25ppg on 46.3 FG% and had more 40 pt games in '02 than prime Kobe, P. Pierce, Ray Allen and VC. The only guy who had more than him that season was T-Mac. Prior to that injury, he had the Wizards in the 4th spot in the East and were playing some of the BEST team defense in the league. This was the same Wizards team who just a season prior, was 13th in the league.
Dat dude was springy in dis one 🐐
I was there!! Hehehehe nose bleed section, but hey doesn’t matter 👍🏾
Mike legs were fresh this game 🔥
