    1990-91 bulls in the playoffs: 3-0, 4-1, 4-0, 4-1. MJ in the finals that year 31.2-11.4-6.6-2.8 on 56% FG. It maybe the best overall playoff performance off all time. At this time MJ was at the best of his skill while still at the best of his athleticism, which put him simply in a class of his own this year.

    Wow prime MJ was waay waaay faster than Kobe. 1991 is my favourite version of MJ, just a perfect mix of speed power and skills.

    @axilmar2548 жыл бұрын

    NBA basketball in the 90s was faster and harder than today's. Todays nba is much slower and softer, and that's the reason shooters like Thomson and Curry today have a field day with shooting 3s. It is amazing how much tighter the defenses were back then and how much faster the players were, due to the tighter defenses.

    Also, at 4:37 you can see one of Jordan's bag of tricks in action - he grabs Wilkins' stiff arm with his hand in order to give himself the half step he needs to get by him. This is one of the rare times you'll actually SEE this, firstly because he didn't always do it (usually only to guys that were handchecking extremely with stiff-arm force trying to push him out, like Wilkins here), and second because when he did, it was usually so fast/subtle that you couldn't see it except on slow-mo replays

  • @SmoovyNovaFan

    thats a flawed comparison😂😂because 1) Lebron is a 3 and MJ is a 2 2) Lebron has Karl Malone's body, down to the height and weight

  • @jordanlover23
    @jordanlover2315 жыл бұрын

    What made Jordan so effective athleticially wasn't his end-to-end speed or quickness (i.e., changing directions/agility), though he was elite in all areas. It was his explosiveness -- that is, his acceleration -- that made him unstoppable. Whether it was off a first step or a change of pace or hesitation dribble, he was able to enter and exit an extreme lean and reach top or near top speed incredibly easily in all situations. You can see this here on the famous drive/dunk on Ewing.

    MJ was under ALOT of scrutiny at the time of his 1st retirement. Most of all that time off from basketball was therapy for him due to Mr. James Jordan being murdered. W/O MJ taking that time off I dont think he would have won 6. Jus sayn.

    We think that would have happened but I'm gonna say no. Because I believe he would gotten worn out. We talking about a player who did not take breaks on defense, who was the best offensive player/closer for his team a top 5 Defensive player in the NBA and played full throttle for all 82 Game's. So over that grind of 82 I believe by '94 he would have hit that wall from fatigue. But Hey, You never know but IMO I'll say NO 7 at most.

    By the way, how quickly (and intuitively) he spins off Vandeweghe at 2:02 after the steal is amazing. Just so instinctual. And while it may look like he fouls Kiki there, it's more a matter of Vandeweghe holding onto the ball very tightly while trying to pass it. Jordan's strip was on the ball.
