You gotta read beyond the niceties to get to the real. Nicety: "You both played similar roles" Reality: "You're both cast first and foremost as big, scary black men. The particularities of that big and scary black man either accentuates the inherent stereotype or plays off the inherent stereotype for comedic effect." In that sense, Vlad's perfectly right. The problem is, both of them are talented actors trying to move past their blackness in a medium that doesn't want to hear that noise. MJW continues to kill it without compromising. Terry goes to Brooklyn 99 and starts to play the straight man. Although our community doesn't want to accept it, Vlad is 100 on this. We can see the difference. Hell, we can even vilify Terry Crews for some of his roles. But to the rest of the world, Michael Jai White and Terry Crews are the big black guys they really don't want to fuck with.

It's why hollywood always tries to kill us black men off to subconsciously show how much of a danger the movie's threat actually is. Most non-blacks consider us superhuman, for some reason. Stronger, more durable... look up "Myths about physical racial differences were used to justify slavery - and are still believed by doctors today." Is he piecing this meta-commentary on how two vastly different actors are thoughts of as merely the same due to their size and color of their skin? Questionable. But it doesn't take away the fact that he's right in that's the reason Crews and White are normally cast and/or thought of like that. That was the worst part. Vlad was trying to compare two black actors who have played roles that were completely different than each other. I'm a "big black guy" myself being 6'4'', over 240 and been lifting for years now. It also doesn't help that I naturally have a look on my face that makes it seem like I'm always angry when I'm not. I've been told that a lot and because of that it's rare that someone would just come over and have a conversation with me. I find myself most of the time being self conscience about it and I tend to go out of my way trying to be more welcoming to people. I think Terry either does the same but to a greater degree or he's just a naturally nice, fun loving guy who just so happens to be big, black and muscular.

Don't take kindness as a sign of weakness

The choice of characters to take on in hollywood is very key as to how the world literally perceives you, fiction or not. Terry has chosen some controversial roles, Michael has always been a force to reckon with in ;fiction' so . . . i see how they'd try Terry and not Michael.

My assessment of T.C. is that he’s not goofy. VLAD said he’s goofy. I didn’t mention his family or anyone outside of the interview posted here. Watch the interview again and listen more closely

Only women and men who've never been in a real fight think the size of a man has anything to do with his strength and skill. I'm considered to be a pretty big dude at 6'1"-243lbs but I've seen a guy about 5'6" knock out and beat the face of a 6'3" guy to a bloody mess. Not just once and not the same guys...... Needless to say, Size *_can_* matter, but smart people can size a person up & evaluate all the ways to turn their size/weight _against_ them. Giving them (the smaller of the two) the advantage. Not to mention, that most people just grab their guns for bigger opponents, smaller ones are quickly underestimated 🤷🏽

Im 5'6 121 lbs I was told by correctional officers and gang leaders that supposedly I'm the type you have to keep your eye on and that I am a little intimidating because I like drinking my opponents blood and I absolutely love hitting myself and getting hit by people. My mother abused me so much as a child it stopped hurting and one day I started laughing when she was beating me. Therefore that's when it all started..... I've escaped death 3x and have tried countless times to kill myself when I was younger in so many different ways but I wanted to do it with excitement ... I look forward to death because beyond here is a happier peaceful place but now I'm just waiting for someone to actual have the skill to kill me.... Good luck trying to rape me
