"Remember the Time" is a song by the legendary pop artist Michael Jackson. It was released as the second single from his eighth studio album, "Dangerous," in 1992. The song was written by Michael Jackson himself along with Teddy Riley and Bernard Belle, and it was produced by Jackson and Riley.
The song is notable for its catchy melody, infectious rhythm, and its incorporation of elements of R&B, new jack swing, and funk music. Lyrically, "Remember the Time" reminisces about a past romantic relationship, with Jackson reminiscing about the good times spent with his lover.
The accompanying music video, directed by John Singleton, features a lavish ancient Egyptian theme, with Jackson portraying a pharaoh who is entertained by his queen (played by model Iman) and court entertainers, including cameos by comedian Eddie Murphy and basketball star Magic Johnson. The video received critical acclaim for its production values and choreography.
"Remember the Time" was a commercial success, reaching the top five in several countries, including the United States, where it peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It remains one of Michael Jackson's most beloved and iconic songs, showcasing his immense talent as a singer, songwriter, and performer.

I grew up with Michael Jackson and bought his first solo album "Off The Wall" as soon as it came out. I knew he was magic and a rare talent like Elvis was before him. He was a true artist and sang songs about important issues. He will always have a special place in my heart.

This is a good video. "The Way You Make Me Feel" is another great one. Anything MJ did was gold, I can remember when his "Thriller" video was coming out at Halloween. Everyone waited with much anticipation, everyone watched it and he didn't disappoint. There was nothing like it at the time, he was truly a unique artist. Grew up listening to his music, I remember our Mother buying Donnie Osmond's "One Bad Apple" and Michael Jackson's "ABC, 1,2,3" 45 record. We were in grade school, very young. This is why MJ was as big or bigger than Elvis!

What a treat to have YOU guys react to this performance! I revisit it often; it's just great entertainment. The beat can't be beat (so to speak), the epic dance routine, the humor, the top-tier cameos - unmatched. I remember (the time) when MJ was to perform this to celebrate winning Best R&B/Soul Single at the Soul Train Music Awards (1993) - and was saddened and shocked to find he was forced to sit in a chair because of a leg injury. I believe this song was never performed live again because MJ felt the dance routine just wasn't on point enough for his notoriously perfectionist taste. Loved and missed. Thanks for this, love your channel.

MJ's music premiers were an epic event globally. As big as any big budget movie premier. Essential viewing for the younger generations. Haven't seen this music video since the 90s, so it's an aptly named titled. I remember when I could do those dance moves. The brain is still willing but the body isn't able anymore. Armchair Boogie is the preferred choice of dance moves these days. On another note there's a band from New Zealand bringing back that old school groove of 70s and 80s starting their US tour on the 9 - 25 May. I'd be very interested in your opinion of their Vibe. They're a great live band with a diverse fussion of Soul, RnB, Funk, Rock, Country, Blues or Reggae and they're the music of choice in New Zealand/Australia/Pacific. It's not a documentary...it's a fantastic performance by a great artist (and friends). Ancient Egyptians were mixed; Mediterranean, light brown of Middle Egypt, darker brown of Upper Egypt, intermingled with African people from the upper Nile and regions of the Sahara and modern Libya. There's more than one book to read on the subject. DNA sequenced on a small sample of mummies doesn't mean the entire population of the area descended from a single origin.
