I did 6 years of constant travel around the world. We definitely do this. Locals can definitely distinguish Canadians from Americans not from our accents but from our friendliness and politeness (showing consideration of others).

Holy S- how have I, a born and bred Canadian, never listened to an interview with this man? He's freaking hilarious! And the cheek on him! Wow. Never change, Mikey, you're a national treasure.

This was 20 years ago. Do not underestimate the effects of Parkinson’s! 20 years is a long time in Parkinson years :(

Oh wow, i had no idea Michael was already struggling with Parkinsons' when he had those brilliant appearances in Scrubs. I watched them way back then and had no clue anything was wrong with him. What an amazing person.

Way before Scrubs. And even before Spin City. He was diagnosed when he was 29 and was doing the movie Doc Hollywood. It started with a tremble in his little finger.

Definitely. So sad Hollywood wants people to sound alike unless the script calls for an accent. Especially since so many mispronounce words like template, route, mobile, etc. 😊.

Nonsense. 60 year old Canadian here. I grew up in Western Canada, same place as Michael J Fox. I have always said 9th, 10th, 11th grade. Perhaps you're from Ontario or somewhere in eastern Canada? Saying it either way is very common where I'm from, but most common is the exact same way Michael says it.

Well here on Vancouver Island it is most common to say Grade 11. Was born here, parents were born here. I am over 50.

My son and I were in Ireland and he was enthusiastically approached by some people who recognized his backpack😆 It happens.

Talking about his kids tolling him. Reminds me, my mother was arachnophobic. We evil children, anytime we found a spider, would if possible, try to pick it up, and then just quietly release it on her sleeve and wait for her to notice it. The freakouts were hilarious! Of course... there was the time she was driving us somewhere, we were both in the back seat, and noticed a spider crawling along the ceiling upholstery, out of our reach, but above her head. We both just looked at each other, paused, and then firmly shook our heads. Nope. Heeeeell nope! We're brats, not suicidal!

In Canada the academia has precidence over the athletics. One of my high school math teachers liked exotic cars in the 70's. He drive a Delorean or his Bricklin to school on occasion. Most friends graduated with a couple Rush stubs and had closed bars in two countries. I had more absences than grades and still finished on time.

Just so you know ... Michael has already explained that he prepares his body before he goes on stage, on TV like this ... there is a routine he does for days and one of them is SLAMMING drugs into him so that he will not shake as much while on TV, but it's not good for him, and it's like a hangover when the drugs wear off...but he wants to look as comfortable as possible while out there in front of his fans ...and I, for one, would never criticize him for that...look at some of those vain women, getting everything but their feet lifted to look young for the camera. My brother just was diagnosed with the same affliction, but he truly doesn't understand what's going to happen to him. The other day, they were about to show Michael on TV when he was having a 'bad day", my oldest brothers made it a point to not have the TV on so our brother would not get to see what's in store for him.
