@@duannahaag9402 I did not know there were books for the local books stores all went away where I would brouse. I will thus try to find some. Someone posted they should do a movie, (like they did for Freddy Mercury). Anyway to me he is the male Marilyn Monroe, over the top beauty head to toe talent. Most of all and obvious, the same vulnerability that got him, like her.

@@janebraun4482 I wish he never had met Paula Yates. She really brought him down but she at least he gave him a child. I wonder if he was still alive what other great music he would have given us. I am reading the book Paula , Bob and Michael. Its mostly about Paula so I am kind if disappointed. There are plenty of books on Amazon.

I wished he never got evolved with a married woman. Paula had to many problems. Divorce and all. Someone said, she was a bit unstable. I think Michael changed while he was with her. Shame.

For all those souls we lost to Covid19 in 2020 are blessed to see him sing all his amazing songs along with all the musicians the world has lost along the way. I wish it was 1987 again dancing with all my friends to listen like thieves.

At sometime in their career with INXS, every member of the band sacrificed for the others to stay relevant in a very tough music industry. To say his bandmates didn't care isn't true. Michael kept his feelings and problems to himself. He had changed 5 years before he died. You can't make a grown ass man get help. Michael wouldn't have wanted special treatment...he was a very proud man, regardless of his declining sensibilities. And there were many. What's amazing is that he lived as long as he did with the TBI he suffered with for those 5 yrs. Truly incredible.

Poor Mike I am ashamed of the way he was treated I think he had the best of intention and it went sideways and lopsided

Paula was looking to leave her marriage for a long time. It was common knowledge among other bands that Paula was trying to hook up with other celebrities. Bob refused to let her go and it was his insane jealousy, ego and scheming that caused this tragedy. Bob could’ve made a clean break with rational child custody but he did not. He wanted to punish them. Michael did many good things for Bob, including letting him live in one of his homes, which Bob willingly accepted. Bob was no Saint. The press made Michael out to be a bad guy to sell tabloids.

It's all very sad for all involved and made worse by media falsehoods, speculations and indiscreet intrusions!!!!😇

His look totally changed, almost gothlike. He was so gorgeous. Drugs and the wrong woman will do that, I guess.

He's talking a little too fast??? I read in one of the books about him that in his interviews he started to expound on"other things" political, social, drugs, sex etc so they always had another member with him when there was an interview. Management knew the press wanted to talk but Chris Murphy said not with Michael alone. Look back and you will see in the interviews if it's not the whole band then it's Michael with one other band member.

Not true In 1997 he was doing American interviews and a few talk shows, and one radio interview alone. He was fine.

From the very beginning, because of Michael’s charisma, he carried all of the weight and responsibility of the interviews. The press only wanted Michael but that was an unfair burden on him. Michael would be doing all the interviews while the rest of the band members were playing golf. To take some of the pressure off of Michael and to project that they were a cohesive band and not just just the Michael Hutchence band other members started doing interviews as well.

It's difficult to understand... I believe that this option was the most terrible and impossible to happen for Michael... but I also believe that Bob raised her well, gave her love as if she were his own and she had the opportunity to grow with her sisters... it shouldn't have been easy for Bob to raise his ex-wife's daughter with her new boyfriend... but deep down, she was just a baby and he did what seemed best for her... or not. .. or maybe he waited for Michael's fortune inheritance that has never arrived... we'll never know...

From what I’ve read, there is no inheritance. The money he earned with his hard work is in the mist…or someone else’s pocket. The irony is that if he had managed to make it through whatever despair he was feeling, and lived through that night, he would have had to deal with his diminishing fortune and had to cut off (and sue) a few folks close to him. I’m Sure that would’ve been devastating as well.

Michael did say in an interview that Paula wanted his hair black. I think she did it to try and make him less attractive to women. I didn't like it either, but he was still the sexiest man in music, even if his hair was black...purple, pink, etc. LOL

Bob Geldof adopted her after the death of both her parents, so that Tiger could stay with the sisters she was brought up with... so yes her name is Hutchence Geldof.

Very sketchy that whole opium found in the flat business. What kind of privacy laws does England have? You can just bust in like that?! @@happydaze7976 I'm not so sure about the IVF thing. I think that was Paula trying to stress how close their bond was. If you look at the timelines of they're meeting again in '95, and Tiger born in July of '96, it just doesn't add up. That story didn't surface until after Michael's death. A little fishy and convenient to me.

Bob refused to leave the home bought and paid for by Paula. Michael graciously let Bob live in one of his homes. Bob is not a saint. He tormented Paula and Michael so much that Paula eventually gave him the house she paid for just to be done with him. It later came out that Bob schemed with the Nanny/housekeeper who claimed she found drugs to win custody of the children. Michael was a free and kind hearted spirt who had the misfortune to become entangled with Bob and Paula. They spent all of Michael’s money on their divorce lawyers and legal dramas and along with his traumatic brain injury caused by a deranged taxi driver, Bob and Paula drove Michael to a fatal mental collapse. Bob is now an extremely wealthy man. If he hasn’t already, Bob should bequeath Tiger Lily a fortune.
