This is one of my favorite songs of all time and i never thought anyone could sing this as good as Otis. Glad that I've been proved wrong!!! Can honestly say, he is a great rare talent, who gives great songs the tributes and appreciation they deserve.

I agree with y'all Michael is amazing but he has a brother in soul with Joshua Ledet. If you hadn't heard him check his American Idol stuff. They both have a sound like no others. They pull you into the song.

Don Coburn -- I took your advice and looked into Joshua Ledet. He is awesome but his voice lacks some of the “raspy” element of Micheal Grimm’s which allows MG to sing songs like “If You Don’t Know Me” with more feeling. That’s not to say that I don’t like and appreciate JL because I do.

A beautiful, humble young man who's voice was gifted to him by a quirk of nature. I thank Nature and I thank America's Got talent. But most of all I thank Michael for persisting. He has a voice and a talent that needs to be heard. I love your work Michael.

2010 I believe Michael was on "America's Got Talent" & the 1st time I heard him sing "I KNEW he would WIN... I have allot of chronic conditions & laying in the bed & I watched ALL the shows, just to hear/see him, then when they anounced that he won, I did my happy dance & smiled with a little scream of excitement & joy, but at the same time was hoping he does NOT get lOsT & A.G.T. DON'T cHaNgE who he is or cares to be... With all due respect to you Michael... "I feel" America's Got Talent knew that Michael was desperate & wanted to win so bad, as seen on A.G.T. videos here in You Tube, so I'm just concerned as mAyBe to "America's Got Talent" Michael is like putty in their hands, sorta speak... This is how he started out, now he's MORE ROCK, I MISS Michael's SOULFUL blues... I wonder IF he's honestly happy as he deeply deserves... The depth of this song is so great that it almost makes one afraid to even consider falling in love. The cry of this man's heart with his fabulous vocals levitates the lyrics of this soothing song to such a pinnacle that pierces the soul that one can only pass into another world of bliss while taking it all in. His voice sounds very lonely here, and it needs to, to match the lyrics well. It will communicate its message to the crowd well because of the artist doing the singing here. Thanks M

This rendition is absolutely beautiful and soulful! Michael Grimm's rendition has become one of my favorite's as it is up there with Seal's rendition of "I've Been Loving You Too Long." I enjoy listening to his vocalizations of the lyrics as it resonates deep into the heart, one can actually feel what it means to long for someone. To sing with soul means to sing from the depth of experience-yours or someone else's. If one is going to cover a song, this is how it's done!

If I had one wish it would be to sing like Michael Grimm. If that wish came true I wouldn't have to worry about anything else

One doesn't train to sing like that. That voice is a raw, unique, God-given talent. Michael is not (in my humble opinion) a pretentious singer and the love he has for his grandparents is so obvious. He truly is a success story and I wish he and his wife many years of success. If you haven't heard his backstory, it is sincerely a "rags-to-riches" tale.
