@Gary Whittaker I assume you're not one to lazily badge people so at what point does someone become a champagne socialist? How do you define this exactly, I'd be interested to know.

People don’t actually realise how old Michael is. When he talks of Mary and Joseph he’s literally referring to the parents of Jesus.

@@TC-lk2ev I'm with Graham here. I've been 4 times (and had a great time when i was young). Then i grew up and learned about: Marginalised travellers, cheap overzealous security with a bad reputation in Ireland, unhappy locals (he'll only pick up human shit at the second time of asking, when he remembers he's being filmed), power/wealth over charity. Don't let me piss on your fire at the stone circle though. Eavis' ley lines go right up your back passage it seems. And Graham's right about the 'has beens' too... The Pyramid stage line up is always atrocious. No idea what he's doing. Plus when did we get to see Nirvana, Eminem, Sex Pistols?... or Rage Against the Machine on the main stage? Eclectic music my arse. Nothing too serious for Michel right?! And reluctantly letting black people be centre stage too (mostly when they are past it in the case of US rappers). What a hero

I nearly got in a head on collision with Michael 2 weeks ago. I worked for a security company keeping the village safe and the troublemakers in line. As we were being taken to our checkpoints, a red ATV comes barreling down a tight backcountry lane at 45 mph. We're driving in a Land Rover discovery at 30. We just stopped in time and we realised who it was who nearly put us all in hospital before our first shifts. TLDR: Michael nearly sent me and other security workers to hospital before our first shifts.

Wow, I actually came here just to make the same comment. Back in 2003 I was on security and nearly got wiped out by Michael really late at night on the road leading to the security compound (I worked for Stuart Security). He must have been doing 60mph and I had to jump into a ditch at the side of the road. Total nutter behind the wheel. Amazingly he did actually stop to see if I was ok but told me to get out of his way faster next time.

@Andrew C i think they were needed, they just didnt exist. The amount of issues etc that go down there now are nothing compared to back then. You should watch the documentary goode vs eavis, it highlights the issues the new age travellers caused at glastonbury and the village of pillton

£250 a pop to watch a bunch of has beens try to sing, Janet Jackson mimed all through her act, The Cure were illegible, so were The Killers. It says a lot that top current bands wont perform there.

Arabella Churchill (another Champagne Super Nova) was one of the founding members of this 'event. The music industry is contrived by extremely powerful people and organisations like Tavistock that recruit and set up bands and reward them vastly. Another Churchill link is Coldplay front man (studied Egyptology) whose Grandfather persuaded Churchill to put the Clocks back every year... There are some decent minor acts about now but you lose the sound effects when outside and the acoustics are shite..imo This festival is timed around the Solstice on sacred ley lines with the mandatory pyramid stage.. Lots of egotists giving away their energy.. But hopefully having a good time..
