During the entire interview I was correcting the interviewer in my head! I mean, he was interviewing THE Michael C. Hall after all! Did anyone also catch the remark after he asked what the "C." in Michael's name stood for? Michael said "Carlyle" and the interviewer made a derogatory remark about it and Michael replied by saying, "You might want to take that back..." 😂. I'm sure by that time Michael wanted to leave the interview but he finished it with grace and poise.

I did not wait 6 years. It was 15 years that went by because being hit by lightning tends to do thing with your mind in weird ways.

The tue real life that made me give birth to the idea of dexter came from the song - PLAYGROUND IN MY MIND. Thats when i knew I could create characters in my mind at age 6.

I the creator of the serial killer who was later renamed Dexter by Jeff Lindsay totally agrees with you.

We met online at a website dedicated to new TV show ideas. Jeff and I did not come up with the name for my serial killer. It was some other dude online and Jeff asked if he could use Dexter and the dude said yeah sure.

"Michael C(!)...." and you see Michael thinking like - "what the F*?!" LOL

Are you beep serious!! Lol I was mouthing the words to the scene

"Michael, people are going to start arriving for the party. can you set the tables with these table cloths?" "Sure, *takes shear plastic table cloths for the party and takes out chopping knife and walks out* Carpenter comes back after a suspicious hour of table setting. "JESUS H CHRIST" Michael: "I-I don't know what happened" *the entire room is completely covered in plastic table clothes. chunks of red and pink flesh are scattered everywhere and all over Michael holding the knife.* "This water melon was rotten."

The true secret is that I kept hidden is that I am the real creator of Dexter. even up to 1998 Dexter did not really have a name. The idea of Dexter was with me for well over 25 years.

The reailty that JEff Lindsay bragged about taking my character from me Back in 1997. Jeff Lindsay and I did not even name him Dexter. From 1973 to 1997 I never named him Dexter. It was some online dufus that named Him Dexter after the cartoon show "Dexters Laboratory" I was so pissed!

how did lindsay become aware of the character? does he know you personally. im not saying i do or dont believe you but of course someone would need more information than that to believe you. can you send me a link to your site or anywhere that i can read more in detail?

Oh I know that. Its just that when trends follow then people jump on the trend boat to say or do something and the reply was just a stop gap measure to ensure even though you did not say it I like spreading the news. You can also google "inachu dexter" for more info. I am doing it this way as it feels mroe live than trying to build a website that tells all to end all lies spoken by Jeff Lindsay.

I am happy that Showtime is taking Dexter up away from the book by the author who stole him from me anyway. Dexter needs his shackles removed and possibly make Dexter go international.

Nobody wants to hear the truth or as some see it some guy like me addresses teh public at large and everything thinks I am a liar? BS! The real borth of the serial killer was in the 1970's when I was just 6 years old. I needed a super hero to protect me and keep me sane from my father often brutal beatings. AsI got older I knew a comic super hero longer cut it so I made him as real as possible.

Medical reason. The day after Jeff lindsay and I met online I was walking to work and got indireclty hit by lightning. This past june on the 10th I was sitting in my cubicle and like niagra falls the memories came flow back out of nowhere. I was freaked out and happy and angry at the same time and highly frustrated. It was 1997 in the fall when when I got hit. So 15 years weny by without me knowing this happend.

I've read your blog and in no way do you provide any evidence you created Dexter. You brought an idea into a medium and someone built upon that idea.. Maybe we should sue J.K Rowling as she didn't invent wizards.
