There was a huge controversy over a sketch which was presented as the introduction to a documentary about war hero Weary Dunlop, before the voiceover said he had a secret he had been hiding for his whole life and then a caption was put up - "Weary Dunlop, Transsexual", before a sudden cut to an overworked ABC switchboard operator putting cables into an old fashioned switchboard and telling callers to hold the line... It was part of a series of gags involving a very controversial topic being abruptly cut off by the video of the ABC switchboard operator. Shaun did a radio interview promoting the series where he mentioned this sketch in passing and it blew up...John Howard got involved, it was a big mess and the ABC cut the sketch. I suspect that was meant to lead in (or lead out) of this sketch, so both got cut.
